Various releases of Knebworth two days that made dreams come true for fans. This is the “Second Summer Of Love” outdoor gig in the summer of 1996, which has been in the limelight again. The peak was Knebworth, where seven outdoor gigs were held.

These August outdoor gigs are also a time when the existence of Knebworth is so great that there are almost no items from other days. In addition, the vast venue was damaged and the recording position was difficult, which spurred such a situation. Stockholm was barely released as the first bonus CD-R “BEFORE THE KNEBWORTH” with a numbering sticker on the masterpiece “CHICAGO 1996 DAT MASTER”, which made enthusiasts groan, but there are no other current items.

Chiakigaku during the glorious period of 1996 was held twice at the football stadium called Pairc Ui Chaoimh (bitter smile I don’t know how to read) in Cork, Ireland. Although there are images and sound sources for these two days, it has a proviso that it is “for the time being”. Because each had some problems with quality, it was difficult to release as an item.

Still, it is a maniac that makes you want to get a glimpse of the atmosphere after Knebworth. Even more so, the time when various releases of Knebworth are booming. Therefore, we will offer this week’s free gift as an audience shot video that captures the pattern of the first day of cork.
This video was well known among oasis traders, but since it was a 1996 audience shot, it was taken with a single 8mm video camera, of course, behind the vast football stadium. It’s basically a hiki angle because it’s a shot taken from the seat.
It was good for the mania to blow up that and create a file, but this exceeded the resolution of the original video, and the appearance of the band on the stage was a little mosaic. In the version uploaded to YouTube, it has fallen to an extremely hard-to-see version due to the addition of video compression, but this time it is a version that is circulating among traders who do not have such a route, so it is better than that on YouTube. It’s much easier to see.

Although it was not possible to hear the facial expressions of the members on the stage for the above reasons, the appearance of Liam walking around the stage endlessly can still be clearly seen. In Knebworth, he was dressed in white-based fashion for two days, but on this day he was wearing a black jacket, which contrasted and impressed.
The same is true for Noel, who in Knebworth wore a turtleneck on both days, but this day was a white shirt. Of course, the quality is only for enthusiasts, and it is a fact that it is a kind of video that you can “watch while watching”, but even so, the atmosphere that is completely different from Knebworth is conveyed properly.
There was only immediately after finishing the big one called Knebworth, and Liam in the first half of the gig seemed to be very relaxed. It’s interesting that it’s clearly different from the high tension that was shaken off like a few days ago. However, the tension soared again from around “Morning Glory”, and when it came to “Whatever” and “My Big Mouth” before the release, a high-tension Liam that was different from the time of Knebworth was captured.
Again, the video is still for enthusiasts. Nonetheless, it is certainly a valuable video that captures the triumphant final game of the outdoor gig in August 1996 after finishing that Knebworth. You can fully enjoy his appearance wrapped in the fashion of “black” against the Liam of Knebworth “white”!

ファンにとっては夢が叶ったネブワース二日間の各種リリース。これによって改めて脚光を浴びることになった”Second Summer Of Love”な1996年夏の野外ギグ。その頂点がネブワースであった訳ですが、そこでは都合七回の野外ギグが行われていました。

・８月３日＆4日：ローモンド湖、スコットランド
・８月７日：ストックホルム
・８月１０日＆１１日：ネブワース（祝！オフィシャル・リリース）

これら8月の野外ギグはネブワースの存在が絶大すぎて他の日のアイテムというのがほとんど存在しない時期でもある。それに広大な会場が災いして録音ポジションに難儀したのもそうした状況に拍車をかける結果に。かろうじてストックホルムが名盤「CHICAGO 1996 DAT MASTER」のナンバリングステッカー付初回ボーナスCD-R「BEFORE THE KNEBWORTH」としてリリースされてマニアを唸らせましたが、それ以外に現行アイテムというのは皆無。

そんな1996年の栄光に溢れた時期の千秋楽はアイルランドのコークにあるPairc Ui Chaoimh（読み方がわかりません苦笑）なるフットボール・スタジアムにて都合二回行われています。これら二日間に関しては映像や音源が存在はしているものの、それは「一応」という但し書きが付いてしまう。というのも、それぞれがクオリティに少なからず問題を抱えており、それ故にアイテムとしてリリースされるには厳しかった。

それでもネブワースの後という時期の雰囲気を垣間見てみたくなるのがマニアというもの。ましてや今ネブワースの各種リリースが盛り上がりまくっているという時期。そこで今週の無料ギフトとして提供いたしますはコーク初日の模様を捉えたオーディエンスショット映像。
オアシス・トレーダー間ではそれなりに知られていた本映像なのですが、1996年のオーディエンスショットということから一台の8ミリビデオ・カメラで撮影されたのは当然として、広大なフットボール・スタジアムの後ろの席から撮られたショットということで基本的にはヒキのアングル。
そこをマニアがブローアップさせてファイル化まではよかったのですが、これによって元の映像の解像度を超えてしまい、ステージ上のバンドの姿などはちょっとモザイク化してしまったという。これがYouTubeにアップされたバージョンでは映像の圧縮も加わって極めて見づらいバージョンへと堕ちてしまっているのですが、今回はそうした経由がないトレーダー間に出回っているバージョンですので、YouTube上のそれよりは格段に見やすい。

また先の理由によってステージ上のメンバーの表情を伺い知るには至らないものの、それでもステージを縦横無尽に闊歩するリアムの姿などははっきりと見て取れる。ネブワースでの彼は二日間共に白を基調としたファッションに身を包んでいたのに対し、この日は黒いジャケットといういで立ちが何とも対照的かつ印象的。
それはノエルに関しても同様で、ネブワースの彼は両日でタートルネックを着ていましたが、この日は白地のシャツ。もちろんクオリティ的にはマニア向けでしかありませんし、それでいて「ながら見」するような類の映像でもあるのも事実なのですが、それでもネブワースとはまったく違った雰囲気というのはちゃんと伝わってきます。
ネブワースという大一番を終えた直後だけのことはあり、ギグ前半のリアムはとてもリラックスした様子。数日前のような振り切れたハイテンションとは明らかに異なるのが面白い。ところが「Morning Glory」辺りから再びテンションが急上昇し、「Whatever」やリリース前だった「My Big Mouth」などになるとネブワースの時とはまた違ったハイテンションなリアムの姿が捉えられている。
繰り返しますがマニア向けな映像であることには変わりません。それでもなお、あのネブワースを終えて意気揚々とした1996年8月の野外ギグ終盤戦を捉えた貴重映像であることは確か。ネブワース「白」のリアムに対して「黒」というファッションに包まれた彼の姿だけでも十分に楽しめます！
