NIGHT RANGER completed their 15th Japan tour on the 40th anniversary of their debut. The latest original recording that allows you to enjoy the final performance is now available.
The performance of “October 25, 2022 Grand Cube Osaka” is imbued in this work. It is an excellent audience recording. The other day, the first report album “TOKYO 2022 3RD NIGHT (Shades 1630)” during the tour was well received, but this work is the second following it. All four performances, Tokyo’s Hitomi Memorial Hall x 3 days, and Osaka’s Grand Cube only once. This work is a live album that vacuum-packed the last day. And the sound is as wonderful as the previous work “TOKYO 2022 3RD NIGHT”. Although it is an original recording of only this work given by the recording artist himself, although it is not a close-fitting sound that can never be mistaken for a sound board, the sound is neat and the details are fine. Above all, the core is powerful and has a rushing power, so the hall sound does not give a sense of distance.
Especially those who have experienced the scene may be surprised at its vividness. This is because the reputation of the sound output of this NIGHT RANGER is somewhat subtle. Whether it was the band’s aim or the staff’s taste, the bass was stronger and the spread was emphasized compared to the standard sound production. If you capture this balance with a microphone, the bass tends to be bouncy, and it is also unsuitable for audience recording. Even if you listen to the audience recordings that have appeared little by little, they only support their reputation. However, this work is clear and clear. そんな本作に吹き込まれているのは「2022年10月25日グランキューブ大阪」公演。その絶品オーディエンス録音です。先日はツアー中の第一報アルバム『TOKYO 2022 3RD NIGHT（Shades 1630）』が好評を博しましたが、本作はそれに続く第二弾。それでは、早速ツアー日程でそれぞれのポジションを確認しておきましょう。

以上、全４公演、東京は人見記念講堂×３日間で、大阪はグランキューブ１回のみ。本作はその最終日を真空パックしたライヴアルバムなのです。そして、そのサウンドは前作『TOKYO 2022 3RD NIGHT』にも負けない素晴らしさ。録音家本人から譲られた本作だけのオリジナル録音なのですが、決してサウンドボードと間違えるようなド密着サウンドではないものの、鳴りが端正でディテールも細やか。何より、芯が力強く突進力があるためにホール鳴りも距離感にならないのです。
特に現場を体験された方なら、その鮮やかさに驚かれるかも知れません。と言うのも、今回のNIGHT RANGERは出音の評判がやや微妙。バンド側の狙いかスタッフの趣味なのか、標準的な音づくりに比べると低音が強めで広がりを強調していたのです。このバランスをマイクで捉えると低音がボワボワになりやすく、オーディエンス録音には不向きでもある。ぼちぼち登場してきたオーディエンス録音を聴いても、その評判を裏付けるものばかりなのです。ところが、本作はグッとクリアで抜けが良い。どんなポジション／機材だったのかは分かりませんが、現場に立ち会われた方なら「こんなに綺麗なバランスだったっけ？」、他録音を体験された方なら「ホントに同じショウ？」と思われることでしょう。
まるで別公演のような美音で描かれるのは、正真正銘ラストの大阪フルショウ。全４公演のセットも判明しましたので、「固定曲」「日替わり曲」に分けて整理してみましょう。
