今回公開されたマスター・カセットには「右チャンネルに歪みあり。（トレードにて）コピーされる場合は注意されたし」との但し書きがミラード自身によって遺されていたとのこと。
幸いにも2023年の最新テクノロジーによってこの問題点はさほど深刻にならずJEMSチームによってレストアされており、実際パッと聞いた感じでは気にならないレベル。むしろこの日の経験のせいでミラードが翌日はより離れたポジションから録音しざる得なかったのかもしれません。
逆に言うと翌日の『LOS ANGELES 1991 2ND NIGHT: MIKE MILLARD MASTER TAPES』よりも音像が近く、しかも二曲目「Crime In The City (Sixty To Zero, Part 1)」からは録音状態も一気に安定して聞きやすくなります。

この日の「Crime In The City」の演奏がまた凄いのなんの。冒頭からしてニールがイントロを食い気味に歌い始めており、一聴して解るほどハイテンションな調子。その激しさは翌日を軽く上回るだけでなく、それどころかオフィシャルのライブアルバム『WELD』に収録された2月のピッツバーグのテイクをも凌駕する名演中の名演。
この暴走した勢いがこの日を決定づけてくれており、以降もニールとクレイジー・ホースがハイテンションにラストまで駆け回る。中でも「Rockin’ In The Free World」、さらにはこのツアーから演奏の展開がエスカレートし始めた「Like A Hurricane」もまたハイテンション。
そのあまりに充実した演奏内容からすれば、むしろこの日こそ『WELD』に採用すべきではなかったか？と思えるほど素晴らしい。何より「Crime In The City」だけでもこの日を聞く価値があるのだと断言いたしましょう。
今まで圧倒的に最終日の知名度が高かった『SMELL THE HORSE』ツアーの千秋楽LAスポーツ・アリーナ2デイズですが、まさかのミラード録音によって初日の凄まじさが明らかになりました。これは名演！
