METALLICA in 2022 has entered an unprecedented full pro-shot era of a good harvest. The latest bullet is back again.
This work was shot at “July 1, 2022 Werchter performance”. This is a multi-camera pro shot when I performed at the Belgian music festival “ROCK WERCHTER”. As anyone who has noticed this article knows, this year’s METALLICA is an abnormal situation. The band itself is as usual, but the video situation is unusual and full official-class full pro shots are appearing one after another. In about two months, eight of them came out in both broadcasting / distribution and outflow. The fact that the number is increasing means that the collection is easily confused. Here, let’s organize it in the light of the ongoing tour schedule.

This is the 2022 schedule that has been announced so far. The other day, the performance in Switzerland was canceled because “the METALLICA family got a positive reaction for the new corona”. I was made to get cold for a moment, but it is unknown whether the infected person was a member or a staff member. In the end, only one performance was canceled and the tour resumed safely, and the appearance of “ROCK WERCHTER” in this work was also the concert on the first day of its return.
And, such a stage was delivered, and collectors from all over the world are shining brightly at this moment as the 8th pro shot. This work is a DVD version of the best master. The quality is completely official again this time. The image quality that gives off a dignity, such as image quality with a slightly film-like feel and super-spectacle camera work, is not enough for just “completely official grade”. Not only the number of pro shots this year, but also the quality of each one is abnormal (a little interesting is that the throat clearing that seems to belong to the staff is mixed for a moment, such as the end of “Ride The Lightning”. It’s an impossible mistake while making it).
By the way, the show drawn with such visual beauty is a full show with delicious daily songs. Let’s organize it on the premise of the previous 7 works.

The previous work “PINKPOP 2022 (Shades 1549)” was a strange set that was different from the six South American works, but this work returns to the basics established in South America again. It’s especially close to “SAO PAULO 2022”, but even so, it’s not the same as the METALLICA style. On this day, the slash number “Damage, Inc.” of “MASTER OF PUPPETS” will appear. It runs fast with aggression. Of course, “Damage, Inc.” is not extremely rare, but it was not seen in the above 6 South American Pro Shot series or “PINKPOP 2022”. It’s a nice song that makes you want to hit your knees without thinking “Is this still there?”
As expected, the pro shots of all the performances did not leak out on the European tour like in South America, but it must be an unusual pace. The sale of all performance soundboards on livemetallica.com was also groundbreaking, but now they may be about to take it to the next level. A superb full pro shot that stirs up such a delusion. Please fully enjoy this week as well.

前代未聞のフル・プロショットの大豊作時代に突入している2022年のMETALLICA。その最新弾がまたもや登場です。
そんな本作が撮影されたのは「2022年７月１日ウェルフテル公演」。ベルギーを代表する音楽祭“ROCK WERCHTER”に出演した際のマルチカメラ・プロショットです。本稿に目を留められた方ならご存知と思いますが、今年のMETALLICAは異常事態。バンド自身は通常通りなのですが、映像事情は尋常ではなく完全オフィシャル級のフル・プロショットが次々と登場。放送／配信と流出の双方合わせ、２ヶ月あまりで８本も出てきたのです。数が多くなってきたという事は、コレクションも混乱しやすいという事。ここで、現在進行中のツアー・スケジュールと照らし合わせて整理しておきましょう。

これが現在までに公表されている2022年のスケジュール。先日は「METALLICAファミリーに新型コロナの陽性反応が出た」との理由でスイス公演が中止。一瞬、冷やっとさせられましたが、感染したのがメンバーなのかスタッフなのかは不明。結局、中止となったのは１公演だけで無事にツアーは再開しており、本作の“ROCK WERCHTER”出演は、その復帰初日にあたるコンサートでもありました。
そして、そんなステージは配信され、８本目のプロショットとして今この瞬間も全世界のコレクター達が色めき立っています。本作は、そのベスト・マスターからDVD化されたものです。そのクオリティは、今回もまた完全オフィシャル級。ややフィルムっぽい感触の画質や超スペクタクルなカメラワークなど、気品さえ漂わせる映像美はただの「完全オフィシャル級」では足りないくらい。今年のプロショット連発は本数もさることながら、１本１本のクオリティも異常です（ちょっと面白いのは「Ride The Lightning」の終盤など、スタッフのものと思しき咳払いが一瞬混じること。ここまで鉄壁に作り込んでおきながらあり得ない凡ミスです）。
さて、そんな映像美で描かれるショウは、美味しい日替わり曲も登場したフルショウ。これまでの７作品を前提にして整理してみましょう。

……と、このようになっています。前作『PINKPOP 2022（Shades 1549）』は南米６作品とは趣の違う風変わりセットになっていましたが、本作は再び南米で確立した基本に回帰。特に『SAO PAULO 2022』に近い感じですが、そうは言っても同じにはならないのがMETALLICA流。この日は『MASTER OF PUPPETS』のスラッシュ・ナンバー「Damage, Inc.」が登場。アグレッションばりばりに激走してくれるのです。もちろん、「Damage, Inc.」は激レアというわけではありませんが、上記の南米プロショット６連作や『PINKPOP 2022』では観られなかった。「まだコレがあったか！」と思わずヒザを叩きたくなる嬉しい１曲です。
さすがに欧州ツアーでは南米のように全公演のプロショットが流出することはありませんでしたが、それでも普通ではないペースには違いない。livemetallica.comの全公演サウンドボード販売も画期的でしたが、現在の彼らはさらに次の次元に入ろうとしているのかも知れません。そんな妄想にまで掻き立てられる超極上フル・プロショット。どうぞ、今週もたっぷりとご堪能ください。
