This work contains a multi-camera pro shot of “September 30, 1992 Hammersmith Odeon Performance”. This video has been known as the strongest video of the four golden people “Mustaine / Ellefson / Friedman / Menza” who built up the heyday, but this work is the highest quality board.

As mentioned above, this show was professionally shot and broadcast on TV at a certain satellite broadcasting station. The air check has produced a number of existing groups, but the highest peak was the official DVD as the centerpiece of the discontinued BOX “WARCHEST” released 15 years ago. The sound quality and image quality are truly master quality, while the logo of a certain satellite broadcasting station in Japan remains as it is. It was a broadcast that had been called “official class” for a long time, but it showed the difference in the real official case. This work is precisely reproduced from the same master as the discontinued official DVD. However, such a station master was not perfect either. There were 14 songs on the air at that time, but for some reason only 10 songs were officialized. At that time, enthusiasts whispered, “Is it also a plan to release the full version independently !?”, but after all, 15 years have passed. [The 4 cut songs are also the best master and complement EXTRA] This work eliminates such “regrettable!” In the official BOX, 4 cut songs (+ interview) were reprinted from the broadcast master and additionally recorded. This Hammersmith video seems to have been broadcast only in Japan, and the interview is fully equipped with Japanese subtitles.
Of course, this is also the best quality that still exists. As expected, it is not as good as the ultimate version of the main, but it is glossy without dubbing marks, which is a different dimension from the existing one. Including other performances, it is the highest quality image quality even in all professional shots of “that four people”. However, no matter how high the peak is, if you mix it with the station master of the main story, you can not deny the feeling of switching, so in this work it is recorded as “EXTRA FOOTAGE” in a separate frame. そんな本作に収められているのは「1992年９月30日ハマースミス・オデオン公演」のマルチカメラ・プロショット。この映像は一大全盛期を築き上げた黄金の４人「ムステイン／エレフソン／フリードマン／メンザ」の最強映像として知られてきましたが、本作はその最高峰クオリティ盤です。

【従来エアチェックとは次元の違う究極クオリティ】
これが1992年／1993年のMEGADETH。キャリア最大のヒット作『破滅へのカウントダウン』を全米２位に送り込んだ彼らは、大規模なワールドツアーに突入。悲願の「打倒METALLICA」まであと少し……というところでムステインのドラッグ禍がまさかの再発。日本公演が中止となり、絶頂の勢いが削がれてしまいました。本作は、そんなケチが付く前の最大加速期。「欧州#1」の13公演目にあたるコンサートでした。
前述のように、このショウはプロショットされ、某衛星放送局でTV放送。そのエアチェックが数々の既発群を生んできたわけですが、その最高峰となるのは15年前にリリースされた廃盤BOX『WARCHEST』の目玉として公式化されたDVDでした。日本の某衛星放送局のロゴもそのままという豪快さもありつつ、音質・画質はさすがのマスター・クオリティ。以前から「オフィシャル級」と言われてきた放送だったわけですが、本物オフィシャルの格の違いを見せつけるものでした。本作はその廃盤オフィシャルDVDと同じマスターから精緻に復刻しているのです。ただし、そんな局マスターも完璧ではありませんでした。当時の放送では14曲あったのですが、なぜか公式化されたのは10曲だけ。当時、マニア間では「完全版の単独リリース計画でもあるのか!?」とも囁かされたのですが、結局そのまま15年が経ってしまったのです。
【カットされた４曲もベスト・マスターでEXTRA補完】
本作は、そんな「惜しい！」も解消。公式BOXではカットされた４曲（＋インタビュー）を放送マスターから復刻して追加収録しました。このハマースミス映像は日本でしか放送されていなかったらしく、インタビューには日本語字幕も完備しています。
もちろん、こちらも現存するベスト・クオリティ。さすがにメインの究極版には及ばないものの、既発とは次元の違うダビング痕のない艶やか。他公演を含め、“あの４人”の全プロショットでも最高級の美麗画質です。ただ、いくら最高峰でも本編の局マスターと混ぜてしまうと切り替わりのチグハグ感は否めませんので、本作では「EXTRA FOOTAGE」として別枠収録しています。では、どの曲が局マスターでどの曲が放送版なのか。本作の全景を整理しつつ、チェックしてみましょう。

……と、このようになっています。当時はカットがあるのか不明でしたが、現在では当日のオーディエンス録音も発掘され、上記の全14曲だった事が分かっています（曲間MCなどは放送されなかったので、完全映像ではありませんでした）。
これだけで70分以上あってお腹いっぱいですが、本作はダメ押しMTV映像も２曲ボーナス収録しています。１つは『YOUTHANASIA』リリースに合わせて放送された特番“Night Of The Living Megadeth”の「Reckoning Day」で、もう１つは名物番組“Most Wanted”の「Symphony Of Destruction」。どちらも公式マスターからダイレクト収録して最高峰画質版です（ちなみに前者「Reckoning Day」は一瞬音が消えるのですが、これは歌詞「I give you to bitch」の「bitch」を自主規制で消しているようです。いつぞやのようにピー音を被せているならともかく、放送事故？ マスター劣化？と誤解してしまいそうな処理です）。現在、プレス名盤『COMPLETE LIVE TRAX 1990-1997（Zodiac 490）』が大好評となっていますが、本作はそのプロショット篇とも言える１枚なのです。
本作は、黄金時代を築いた“あの４人”の最強プロショット。その最高クオリティ版です。終始一貫マスターではないためにプレス化は叶いませんでしたが、2022年を迎える今、これ以上の映像はありません。MEGADETHの……いえ、ヘヴィメタルの至宝とも言うべき大傑作プロショット。どうぞ、最高の映像美で味わい尽くしてください。
