Mary Hopkin, a singer-songwriter from Wales who made her debut with Paul McCartney’s production from the Beatles’ self-established APPLE Records in 1968 and became the first artist on the Apple label. Her first single “Those Were The Days” was a worldwide hit and her debut album “POST CARD” was produced entirely by Paul McCartney. In the album, Paul himself played, and Donovan, Ringo Starr, and George Martin joined the production, and it was finished as a highly complete “romantic pop folk album” suitable for the Beatles’ APPLE label and recorded a worldwide hit. At that time, both stereo and mono albums were released in the UK as well as the Beatles, but there are few mono albums in the stereo transition period, and it is now a collector’s item that is difficult to obtain. This collector’s edition is a complete reproduction of this precious original UK mono album. Unlike the stereo, the mix is ​​different, the vocals are more on, and the performance is a vivid sound image, and some fade-outs are long, so it is full of charm unique to monaural like the Beatles. The analog collector has a good reputation for its sound quality, and the analog sound source is recorded as it is by direct transfer from the original master. In addition, the original single mono version of “Those Were The Days”, which was not included in the album in the UK, the Italian, Spanish, German, and French versions, and the original song “Paul’s second single”. Even the mono-acetate sound source of “Goodbye” is additionally recorded. In addition, the second CD contains rare sound sources including the first CD, such as TV show live and demo sound sources from 1968 to 1970 before debut as “Rarities Collection”. Includes interesting tracks from the Ed Sullivan Show to the big-name TV shows such as Tom Jones and Cliff Richard, the unofficially released “Asahi no Ataruya”, and demo acetate recordings of songs not included in the album.
