Liam Gallagher’s new album “C’MON YOU KNOW” easily reached the top of the UK charts, and even returned to Knebworth. A convenient book that summarizes the TV images that he appeared before the album release this year.
The main feature is the special program “48 HOURS AT ROCKFIELD 2022” that was aired when the album was released.
Here, Liam returns to Rockfield Studios, where he recorded the masterpiece “MORNING GLORY” during the oasis era, with Jean and Lennon’s two sons. He showed us a studio live.
Liam had recorded a studio live at Abbey Road Studios before the album was released during the Beady Eye era, but this time it’s refreshing to be accompanied by his sons. Therefore, the aspect of “boys who came to see my father’s work” is included.

This is a broadcast just before the release of the album, so it is a masterpiece to see the wonderful performance scene from the latest album which is a big hit. Moreover, Liam’s voice is in excellent condition because it is set to sing carefully in the studio. The appearance of the two sons watching over his father as a singer from the console is really funny.
And the oasis numbers of the two songs “D’You Know What I Mean” and “Supersonic” were also sung smoothly, and it was a content that let us know that Liam was ready in front of Knebworth.

The next recording is four songs that were broadcast from the live concert in Lancashire in April, which also serves as a shoulder break-in for Knebworth and a promotion for the new song that has been released from the new album.

ニューアルバム「C’MON YOU KNOW」がやすやすとUKチャートの一位を獲得、からのネブワースへの帰還まで果たしてみせた絶好調リアム・ギャラガー。彼が今年アルバムリリースまでに出演したテレビ映像をまとめた便利な一本。
メイン・フィーチャーとなるのはアルバムのリリース時に放映された特番「48 HOURS AT ROCKFIELD 2022」。
ここでリアムはオアシス時代に傑作「MORNING GLORY」を録音したロックフィールド・スタジオにジーンとレノン二人の息子を伴って帰還。スタジオライブを披露してくれました。
リアムはビーディ・アイ時代にもアルバムリリース前にアビーロード・スタジオにてスタジオライブを収録したことがありましたが、今回は息子たちを伴っているというのが新鮮。よって「父の仕事ぶりを見に来た息子たち」といった側面が盛り込まれているのです。
各楽曲の合間にはリアムがロックフィールド・スタジオを振り返るインタビュー、さらには親子の会話が盛り込まれているのですが、さすがに英語が解らないとツラい。かといってスタジオライブ・シーンだけだと味気ない。そこで会話の長い部分をカットして我々日本人に見やすい状態に仕立てたのです。
こちらはアルバムリリース直前の放送ということもあり、大ヒット中の最新アルバムからの素晴らしい演奏シーンが見られるのは圧巻。しかもスタジオでじっくり歌いこむセッティングですのでリアムの声も絶好調。そんなシンガーとしての父をコンソールから見守る息子二人の姿が実に微笑ましい。
そして「D’You Know What I Mean」と「Supersonic」という二曲のオアシス・ナンバーもサラリと歌い上げ、ネブワースを目前にリアムの準備は万端であったことを知らしめてくれる内容だったのでした。

次に収録されているのはネブワースの肩慣らしとニューアルバムから小出しにされている新曲のプロモーションを兼ねて4月にランカシャーで行われたライブから放送された四曲を収録。
よって収録時間は短いのですが、当時公開されたばかりだった「Better Days」を癌の治療に専念するためにリアムのステージへの参加を断念したボーンヘッドに捧げて歌われるという感動的な場面は必見。

そして最後に収録されているのはオアシス時代から何度も出演しているジュールス・ホーランド司会によるイギリスの名物音楽番組「LATER…」。
こちらはアルバムリリースの月に放送された番組ですので、歌われた三曲すべてがニューアルバムからという構成。これら三つの番組から分かりやすい程に伝わってくるのは、今のリアムが文句なしに絶好調だということ。
オープニングから意表を突いたニューアルバム「C’MON YOU KNOW」も余裕のチャート一位というだけでなく、ファンから「新たな傑作」と絶賛が寄せられる中、ネブワースの大勝負に向けて気合十分なリアムを完璧な画質でまとめた便利な一本。これは是非とも大画面で！大音量で！
