Now that the last performance in Japan is approaching, the situation of the sound board of KISS in the golden age is suddenly lively. The highest peak update board of the legendary recording that has been loved as “Honsei 100% ALIVE II” is now available.
“Performance in San Francisco on August 16, 1977” is engraved on this work. It is the stereo sound board recording. Speaking of 1977, not only was the legendary first visit to Japan realized, but the time when three tours “ROCK & ROLL OVER Tour”, “LOVE GUN Tour”, and “ALIVE II Tour” were paralleled. Since the meaning differs greatly due to the slight difference in time, let’s first check the position of the show by overlooking the whole view of the activity at that time.

In this way, both “ALIVE II” and “FORT WORTH 1977” were the final stages of the tour, but the San Francisco performance of this work was a little before. It was a concert that was the 19th performance out of 30 performances.
This show is also famous for having the finest soundboard left, and has reigned as one of the classics for a long time. Although this work is also the same sound board, it has already been copied and remastered. . . . No, then. It is a new master recently digitized and announced by the prestigious “Krw_co”. The sound is certainly the best ever. Some of the already released CDs were made from compressed sound sources, but this work was directly transferred from the newly discovered DAT master. There are absolutely no compression marks, and the reproducibility of the thick core and the fine details of the core are overwhelming.
“It’s not as well organized as the official work, but its vividness is the best.” The balance that is far from the loud cheers is clearly a direct connection to the mix table, and the vibration of the strings of the guitar and bass can be felt by touch, and the vocals are breathtaking. The live performance by the original four people and the whole body are completely synchronized.

このように『ALIVE II』も『FORT WORTH 1977』もツアー最終盤だったわけですが、本作のサンフランシスコ公演は少し手前。全30公演中19公演目にあたるコンサートでした。
このショウもまた極上サウンドボードが残された事で有名であり、古くから定番の１つとして君臨してきました。本作も同じサウンドボードではあるものの、既発のコピーやリマスター再発。。。。では、ありません。ごく最近になって名門「Krw_co」がデジタル化・発表した新マスターなのです。そのサウンドは確かに過去最高。既発の中には圧縮音源からCD化されているモノもありましたが、本作は新発掘のDATマスターからダイレクトにトランスファー。圧縮痕がまるでなく、極太な芯の再現度も細やかな芯のディテールも圧倒的です。
オフィシャル作品のように整ってはいませんが、その生々しさこそが最高。大歓声も遠いバランスは明らかにミックス卓直結系で、ギターもベースも弦の振動が手触り感覚で伝わり、ヴォーカルも息づかい級。オリジナル４人による生演奏と全身が完全シンクロするのです。
そんなアップグレード・サウンドで描かれるのは、「本生100％版ALIVE II」となるフルショウ。最後に伝統のオフィシャル名盤と比較しながらセットも整理しておきましょう。
