Our KISS sound board new excavation series that surprises the world. Following the popular “TORONTO 1984 SOUNDBOARD (Zodiac 560)”, the shocking work of “LICK IT UP Tour” is now available!
“January 11, 1984 Nashville performance” is engraved on this work. It is the best stereo sound board recording. This day has long been known for KBFH broadcasting, and a full version sound board has also appeared. It has been loved as a classic symbol of the Vinnie Vincent era. However, this work is neither a copy of such a predecessor nor a remaster. It is the original master brought from the same original route as many first appearance sound boards.
Speaking of the “LICK IT UP Tour”, it’s a rare Vinnie era that ranks alongside the “CREATURES OF THE NIGHT Tour”. The outflow sound board series of our shop covers the entire history of KISS, but especially during the Vinnie era, 5 works were recently discovered in a row. The above seven works. The Nashville performance of this work was about two months before “TORONTO 1984 SOUNDBOARD”, and it was the first 12 performances of the 58 “North American legs” performances.
This work, which was recorded at such a show, is a shocking stereo sound board that is directly connected again. It is clear that the intro is longer than the already released full version sound board, but what is more important is the sound that penetrates the whole story. This series is basically a direct connection to the desk, but this show was a type that included cheers probably because KBFH broadcasting was scheduled. However, whether the mix is different from the conventional sound board, the performance sound itself is more vivid. And above all, the freshness is overwhelming. It doesn’t have the crispness of digital compression, and it jumps into your brain without a thick core, beautiful details, or dubbing marks. Despite the perfection that can be said to be No. 1 in the series, the mix is easy to listen to, but it also has a genuine feeling.

“LICK IT UP Tour”と言えば、“CREATURES OF THE NIGHT Tour”と並ぶ稀少なヴィニー時代。当店の流出サウンドボード・シリーズはKISS全史に及ぶわけですが、特にヴィニー時代は最近５作も連続で発掘されました。良い機会でもありますので、今回も含めて「ヴィニー時代の発掘サウンドボード・コレクション」を整理してみましょう。

以上の７作。本作のナッシュビル公演は『TORONTO 1984 SOUNDBOARD』の約２ヶ月前であり、「北米レッグ」全58公演中の序盤12公演目にあたるコンサートでした。
そんなショウで記録された本作は、またしても衝撃のド直結ステレオ・サウンドボード。既発の完全版サウンドボードよりも長いイントロから大元なのは明らかですが、それ以上に重要なのは全編を貫くサウンド。このシリーズは基本的に卓直結系なのですが、このショウはKBFH放送が予定されていたためか歓声も入ったタイプです。ただし、従来サウンドボードとはミックスが違うのか、演奏音自体はより生々しい。そして何より、鮮度が圧倒的。デジタル圧縮のシャリシャリ感がまるでなく、極太の芯も微細部まで美しいディテールもダビング痕もなく脳みそに飛び込んでくる。ミックスの聴きやすさはシリーズNo.1とも言える完成度にもかかわらず、本生感もしっかりと兼ね備えているのです。
そんな衝撃サウンドで画かれるのは、貴重な“LICK IT UP Tour”のフルショウ。当時の新曲はもちろん、クラシックスにも意外な貴重曲がありますので、ここで整理してみましょう。

……と、このようになっています。「Gimme More」はデビュー・アルバムの曲でありつつ、ライヴされたのは“LICK IT UP Tour”だけという限定曲でした。「All Hell’s Breakin’ Loose」は2012年／2015年のKISSクルーズで演奏されているので厳密には限定ではないものの、やはりほぼほぼ限定曲です。また、「Lick It Up」が収録されているのもポイント。レアではありませんが、大好評の『TORONTO 1984 SOUNDBOARD』でも聴けない曲でもあります。
