This time it’s a professional shot!!! Our new excavation series continues to shock KISS collectors all over the world. Following a huge sound board title, even a professional shot video work has appeared. Of course, it is the birth of a permanent preservation press dual DVD!
This work was filmed here in Japan. This is a pro shot of the people involved in the “January 31, 1995: Nippon Budokan” performance. I have visited Japan 13 times in 45 years since my first visit to Japan in 1977, but only twice in the no-makeup era. Now, the bare face of KISS has become more valuable. It’s also a good opportunity, so let’s summarize the two no-makeup visits to Japan this time.

The above 6 performances + 5 performances = 11 performances in total. It was held twice at Nippon Budokan, and this work was also the last performance in Japan without makeup.
From such a show, the master leaked out from the people involved came from the same route as the sound board series! “It’s a one-shot, but it’s definitely a professional shot.” Recently, a professional shot excavated from another route has been disturbing the net, but it is a completely different master, and this is a super-superb master quality. There are no dubbing marks at all, and even if you zoom in on your face, every single hair and guitar string is super clear. It is often expressed as the greatest compliment to the audience shot, “It seems that one angle of the professional shot has leaked out”, but when it really leaks, it is overwhelmed by the magnificence of the difference.
And even though it’s a one-camera, the camera work that captures the highlights is also professional. It is completely different from the audience shot that looks for the highlight while watching the show, and it is clear that it is planned in advance such as “the miso of this song is here” and “the next highlight is here”. It zooms in and out and swings left and right at a terrifying speed without hesitation. In anticipation of later multi-camera editing, there is a big difference between “usable images” and “unusable images”, but even that is enough to learn “professionals shoot like this”.
And it’s the sound that’s not inferior to the shocking beauty of the visuals… or should I say, it’s the audio that surpasses it. It is a super powerful stereo sound board, and it is clearly a direct connection to the mix desk. Instead of a balance that makes the loud cheers whisper far and wide, the live performance with the core exposed is unprocessed and attacks. If you have noticed this article, I think you have experienced the sound board series that has been running recently, but the sound of this work is completely the same quality.
A full show in the final stage of KISS without make-up is depicted in such a superb one-cam professional shot. Speaking of images from the “REVENGE” era, the 1992 Detroit performance pro shot formalized in “KISSOLOGY VOLUME THREE” is the most famous, so let’s organize the set while comparing.

… and it looks like this. As a matter of fact, the “REVENGE Tour” ended once in 1992, and after that it was repartitioned as the “KISS MY ASS Tour”. The 70’s repertoire was also greatly increased, perhaps in anticipation of the later make-up reunion. The Best Buy special edition of “KISSOLOGY VOLUME THREE” also included the 1994 Sao Paulo video corresponding to “KISS MY ASS Tour”, but “King Of The Night Time World” “Shout It Out Loud” “Tears Are Falling ” “I Want You” “She” “Forever” is a repertoire that could not be seen there.
“Anyway, the impact of transcendence and perfect master quality.” I will do my best. It was a shock even for the net video covered with dubbing marks, but I never thought that a super-superb version without deterioration existed … …. A video masterpiece that allows you to fully enjoy the no-makeup KISS Nippon Budokan with no more visual beauty. 今度はプロショット!!!　全世界のKISSコレクターを震撼させまくっている当店の新発掘シリーズ。膨大なサウンドボード・タイトルに続き、なんとプロショット映像作まで登場してしまいました。もちろん無論、永久保存プレスのデュアルDVDで爆誕です！
そんな本作が撮影されたのは、ここ日本。「1995年１月31日：日本武道館」公演の関係者流出プロショットです。1977年の初来日から45年間で13回の来日を果たしたわけですが、その中でノーメイク時代は二度だけ。今となっては素顔のKISSの方が貴重となってしまいました。良い機会でもありますので、今回は二度のノーメイク来日を総括してみましょう。

以上の６公演＋５公演＝全11公演。日本武道館では２回ずつ行われており、本作はノーメイク最後の日本公演でもありました。
そんなショウから飛び出してきたのは、サウンドボード・シリーズと同じルートからもたらされた関係者流出マスター！　ワンカメではありますが、間違いなくプロショット。最近になって別ルートから発掘されたプロショットがネットを騒がせていますが、それとは完全なる別マスターで、こちらは超・極上のマスター・クオリティ。ダビング痕などまるでなく、顔面ドアップまでズームしても髪の毛やギター弦の１本１本に至るまで超鮮明。よくオーディエンス・ショットへの最大級の賛辞として「まるでプロショットの１アングルが流出したようだ」と表現する事がありますが、本当に流出してみるとケタ違いの凄みに圧倒されます。
そして、ワンカメとは言えども見どころを押さえまくるカメラワークも流石プロ。ショウを観ながら見どころを探していくオーディエンス・ショットとはまったく違い、「この曲のミソはココ」「次の見どころはココ」と事前に計画されているのは明らか。ズーム・イン／アウトや左右の振りも凄まじいスピードで迷いなく、狙ったところをビシッと押さえ、そこでじっくりと見せる。後のマルチカメラ編集を見越した「使える画」「使わない画」の落差が激しかったりもしますが、それさえもが「プロはこう撮る」という勉強になるくらいです。
そして、その衝撃の映像美に負けない……と言いますか、上回っているのが音声。超強力なステレオ・サウンドボードでして、明らかにミックス卓直結系。大歓声も遠く遠くに囁くようなバランスの代わりに、芯も丸出しな生演奏が無加工で襲いかかってくる。本稿に目を留められた方なら、最近連発しているサウンドボード・シリーズをご体験だと思いますが、本作の音声も完全に同じクオリティなのです。
そんな超極上のワンカメ・プロショットで画かれるのは、ノーメイクKISS末期のフルショウ。『REVENGE』時代の映像と言えば、『KISSOLOGY VOLUME THREE』で公式化された1992年デトロイト公演プロショットが一番有名ですので、比較しつつセットを整理しておきましょう。

……と、このようになっています。実のところ、“REVENGE Tour”は1992年中に一度終了しており、その後は“KISS MY ASS Tour”として仕切り直し。後のメイクアップ再結成を見越していたのか、70年代レパートリーも大幅増量されていました。『KISSOLOGY VOLUME THREE』のBest Buy特別版には、“KISS MY ASS Tour”にあたる1994年サンパウロ映像も収録されていましたが、「King Of The Night Time World」「Shout It Out Loud」「Tears Are Falling」「I Want You」「She」「Forever」辺りはそこでも観られなかったレパートリーです。
とにもかくにも、超絶の完全マスター・クオリティの衝撃。コレに尽きます。ダビング痕まみれのネット映像でも衝撃ではあったのですが、まさか劣化なしの超極上版が現存していたとは……。これ以上ない映像美でノーメイクKISSの日本武道館をフルで楽しめる映像傑作。世界中のコレクター達を震撼させるデュアルレイヤーのプレスDVD、ここに堂々の誕生です！
