Our own official spilled sound board series that shook the world of mania. Among them, the upgrade version of the superb live album that was hailed as the apex of the 80s no-make KISS is now on sale. Engraved in such a work is “Stockholm performance on September 17, 1988”. Yes, it is the famous record “BURY YOU ALIVE” that was hailed as the masterpiece of “CRAZY NIGHTS TOUR” at the peak of 80’s no-make KISS.
However, this work is not a straight recurrence. It is digitized again from the spill master that shocked the world. It is an upgrade board polished with the latest mastering. Suddenly, it was a “masterpiece” but a “masterpiece”, but if you do n’t know “BURY YOU ALIVE”, you wo n’t be able to come to a point. Let’s start with the show position.

This is the overall picture of “CRAZY NIGHTS TOUR”. The only Japanese performance in the 80’s is a memorable one, but this work is five months later. It was a concert corresponding to the 12th performance of the “Europe” leg, the final edition of the world tour. And “BURY YOU ALIVE” is the best stereo sound board recorded directly from the show’s mix table. In addition to its preciousness, the contents were transcendent. From “CRAZY NIGHTS TOUR”, MONSTERS OF ROCK and some sound boards are left, but most of them are incomplete versions. All four performances of the official “KISSOLOGY” were also excerpts. On the other hand, this sound board recording was a full recording of a single penetration.
Of course, the sound is the highest. It is different from the official work style that is arranged only for the direct connection of the desk … No, it can be said that the official is “completely official class” if it is said by the modern standard that is positive for excavation. The performance and singing voice of zero distance & intrusion level sings, everything is vivid. Although there is no overdub to produce the atmosphere of the concert, the cheering that can be heard slightly from the far side is thick, and you can feel a tremendous spectacle.
In addition, this work is a record-updated board that has raised the highest peak of such outflow masters. Of course, it was superb from the beginning, but when I poke the corner of the heavy box, I found room for improvement. For example, stereo balance. The Daimoto Master was slightly on the left, but in this work, it was aligned with the center and the volume was unnaturally changed in some parts (the staff on site would have squeezed the knob). Arranged. Of course, the entire sound itself has been brushed up, and each range has been arranged with great care so as not to impair the glossiness of the original sound. The bottom is thicker, and it has a powerful yet natural sound.
The show depicted with such an updated sound is Greatest Hits, which does not end only in the 70s. Let’s organize the set here.

… and it looks like this. There are lots of delicious songs such as “Fits Like A Glove”, which has not been played since Reunion, and “Bang Bang You”, “No, No, No”, “Reason To Live”. Even in the 70’s, “Strutter”, “Rock And Roll All Nite”, and “Shout It Out Loud” cannot be heard even when the four performances recorded in “KISSOLOGY” are combined. Though)
Of course, the performance itself is more than that set. Bruce Curick’s flashy guitar rampaged, and the late Eric Carr’s drumming was greatly reduced. The sense of fulfillment that entered the golden age again overflowed, and the height of the tension that witnessed the enthusiasm was transformed into a momentum. You can really enjoy the top of the no-make era with a superb sound board.

全世界のマニアを震撼させた当店独自の関係者流出サウンドボード・シリーズ。その中にあって、80年代ノーメイクKISSの頂点作と謳われた超極上ライヴアルバムのアップグレード盤が登場です。そんな本作に刻まれているのは「1988年９月17日ストックホルム公演」。そう、80年代ノーメイクKISSの絶頂期“CRAZY NIGHTS TOUR”の最高傑作と謳われた名盤『BURY YOU ALIVE』です。
ただし、本作はストレートな再発ではありません。世界に衝撃を振りまいた流出マスターから再度デジタル化。最新マスタリングで磨き込んだアップグレード盤なのです。いきなり「最高傑作」だの「名盤」だのまくし立ててしまいましたが、『BURY YOU ALIVE』をご存じなければピンと来ないでしょうから、順を追ってご説明いたします。まずは、ショウのポジションから始めましょう。

これが“CRAZY NIGHTS TOUR”の全体像。80年代唯一の日本公演も思い出深いところですが、本作はその５ヶ月後。ワールド・ツアー最終盤となる「欧州」レッグ12公演目にあたるコンサートでした。そして、そんなショウのミックス卓から直接録音された極上ステレオ・サウンドボードが『BURY YOU ALIVE』。関係者からもたらされた大元マスターで、その貴重度に加えて内容も超絶でした。“CRAZY NIGHTS TOUR”からはMONSTERS OF ROCKを始め、いくつかのサウンドボードが残されていますが、そのほとんどが不完全版。オフィシャル『KISSOLOGY』の４公演もすべて抜粋でした。それに対し、このサウンドボード録音は一気貫通のフル収録だったのです。
もちろんサウンドも最高峰。卓直結だけに整えられたオフィシャル作品風とは趣が違……いや、オフィシャルも発掘に積極的な現代基準で言えばやっぱり「完全公式級」と言って良いでしょう。ゼロ距離＆脳内侵入レベルの演奏と歌声が轟き、すべてがビビッドで克明。コンサートの雰囲気を演出するオーバーダブ等はないものの、遙か遠から微かに聞こえる声援はぶ厚く、凄まじいスペクタクルも感じられるのです。
しかも、本作はそんな流出マスターの最高峰をグイッと引き上げた記録更新盤。もちろん、大元からして超絶だったわけですが、重箱の隅を突いてみると改善の余地も見つかった。例えばステレオ・バランス。大元マスターは微妙に左に寄っていましたが、本作ではビシッとセンターに揃え、一部でボリュームが不自然に変化していた（現場スタッフがつまみをイジったのでしょう）パートも自然に整えた。もちろん、全体サウンドそのものもブラッシュ・アップしており、原音の艶やかさを一切損なわないよう細心の注意を払いつつ、各音域を整理。ボトムもより太く、パワフルながらナチュラル感たっぷりなサウンドを実現しているのです。
そんな最高峰更新サウンドで描かれるショウは、70年代だけに終わらないグレイテスト・ヒッツ。ここでセットも整理してみましょう。

……と、このようになっています。リユニオン以降は演奏していない「Fits Like A Glove」やこのツアーだけの「Bang Bang You」「No, No, No」「Reason To Live」など、美味しい曲が盛りだくさん。70年代ナンバーにしても「Strutter」「Rock And Roll All Nite」「Shout It Out Loud」辺りは『KISSOLOGY』に収録された４公演分を組み合わせても聴けません（他ツアーのテイクなら見られたのですが）。
もちろん、そんなセット以上となるのが演奏そのもの。ブルース・キューリックのフラッシーなギターが暴れに暴れ、故エリック・カーのドラミングも大いにハジける。再び黄金期に突入した充実感が溢れ出し、大熱狂を目の当たりにしたテンションの高さがそっくり勢いに転化されている。まさにノーメイク時代の頂点を超極上サウンドボードで味わえるのです。

70年代には『ALIVE!』『ALIVE II』があり、90年代には『ALIVE III』が残されました。しかし、ノーメイクKISS本当の全盛期はエリック・カー存命中。本作は、本来オフィシャルが残すべきだった『ALIVE 2.5』となるライヴアルバムなのです。単なる超極上ステレオ・サウンドボードというだけでなく、オフィシャルが残し損なった“ノーメイクの頂点”を補完する１本。その最高峰更新盤。どうぞ、永久保存プレス２CDで思う存分お楽しみください。

This press 2CD is a super definitive edition that can be called “ALIVE 2.5” that permanently preserves the peak of 80’s no-make KISS. Of course, it is a useless super masterpiece such as a bonus, but the true awesomeness at the height of the peak can only be transmitted through the “sight”. So we prepared a masterpiece pro shot of the same European tour.
This film was filmed on “August 27, 1988 in Schweinfurt”. This is a multi-camera pro-shot of the festival that appeared in the West German version of MONSTERS OF ROCK. MONSTERS OF ROCK was born in Donington, England, but has been held in other countries since 1983. In 1988, it has grown into a festival tour with 10 performances in 7 countries. In West Germany, it was held in two cities, Schweinfurt and Bochum. KISS will appear as a semi-bird after IRON MAIDEN. In the “CRAZY NIGHTS TOUR” schedule described in this volume, this is the third performance of the “Europe” leg.
The show was professionally shot and broadcast on TV. This work is a DVD of the broadcast pro shot. Its quality is exquisite. Although it is difficult to say that it is “official class” by modern standards only for air check in the analog era, if it is standards at that time, I would like to say everything. The best part is master freshness. Although the detailed generation is not disclosed, there is no dubbing trace as far as the screen is seen. There is no white line noise or tape twist, and the color is vivid in spite of more than 30 years ago. That is the beauty of the image as if it were directly receiving the radio waves of that time.
It is a healthy, gorgeous and no-make KISS performance that is drawn with such quality. Although it is a festival tour, it is a slightly shorter set than the main press 2CD, but that is why the sense of concentration is overwhelming. Let’s organize the contents here.

本編プレス２CDは、80年代ノーメイクKISSの絶頂期を永久保存する『ALIVE 2.5』とも言うべき超決定版です。もちろん、本来であればボーナスなど無用の超傑作ではあるのですが、絶頂期の真の凄みは“光景”があってこそ伝わる。そこで、同じ欧州ツアーの傑作プロショットをご用意しました。
そんな本作が撮影されたのは「1988年８月27日シュヴァインフルト公演」。西ドイツ版MONSTERS OF ROCKに出演下祭のマルチカメラ・プロショットです。英国の聖地ドニントンで誕生したMONSTERS OF ROCKですが、1983年から他国でも開催されるようになり、1988年には７ヵ国・10公演のフェスツアーに成長。西ドイツではシュヴァインフルト／ボーフムの２都市で開催されました。KISSはIRON MAIDENに次ぐ準トリとしての出演。本編解説の“CRAZY NIGHTS TOUR”のスケジュールで言うと「欧州」レッグの３公演目にあたります。
そのショウはプロ撮影されてテレビでも放送。本作はその放送プロショットをDVD化したものです。そのクオリティは絶品。アナログ時代のエア・チェックだけに現代基準では「オフィシャル級」とは言いにくいものの、当時基準であれば全力で言いたい。何よりも素晴らしいのはマスター鮮度。詳しいジェネは明かされていないものの、画面を見る限りダビング痕は一切なし。白線ノイズもテープヨレも見られず、30年以上前にも関わらず発色もビビッド。それこそ、当時の放送電波を直接受信しているかのような映像美です。
そんなクオリティで描かれるのは、健康的で華やかなりしノーメイクKISSの大熱演。フェス・ツアーという事もあって本編プレス２CDよりも少々短いセットではありますが、だからこその濃縮感が圧倒的。ここで、その中身も整理しておきましょう。

……と、このようになっています。本編プレス２CDよりはコンパクトなものの、70年代と80年代を折半したバランスは同じ。当日セットより４曲「Firehouse」「Calling Dr. Love」「Strutter」「Lick It Up」カットされていますが、それでも約１時間に渡ってじっくり楽しめます。そして、そのセットを演じるパフォーマンスこそが眩しい。アンプをズラッと並べたセットはシンプルながらロック然としていて、衣装もLAメタル大全盛の華やかさ全開。ブルース・キューリックはテクニカルなフレーズを連発させ、黒髪を振り乱しながら「Black Diamond」を熱唱する故エリック・カーの姿も懐かしい。ポールとジーンも、ギミックに頼らないアクションは鋭く、健康的なノーメイク時代の溌剌としたショウを繰り広げています。
そして、そんな80年代イメージをさらに引き立てているのが現場。このフェス・ツアーは野外の特設会場であり、夏のヨーロッパだけに日暮れが遅い。KISSのステージはずっと日の高い明るい中でショウを行っており、眼前の大観衆もはっきりと見える。ビートに乗ってハネる人の海に向かって猛烈にロックするスペクタクルをたっぷりと楽しめるのです。
まさに絶頂。ノーメイク時代にも一時代を築いていたKISSの姿を１時間見つめられるマルチカメラ・プロショットです。ステージ・ギミックではなく、曲と演奏だけで大観衆を狂わせていた80年代のKISS。頂点作である本編プレス２CDと本作でたっぷりとご堪能ください。
