KISS in 1974, which won the world title with “Messenger from Hell”. Introducing a shocking video work that allows you to witness the four people of such dawn.
Two rare images taken in 1974 are included in this work. This is a piece that mainly includes the one-camera pro shot of “April 13, 1974 Detroit performance” and adds an 8mm film of “January 26 New York performance” as a bonus. Speaking of 1974, “Messenger from Hell” and “Hotter than Hell” were sent out in quick succession, and the tours changed depending on the time. First, let’s take a bird’s eye view of the whole picture and grasp the position of the show.

《August production of “Hotter than Hell”》

・ October 16-21: North America # 4a (5 performances)
“October 22” Hotter than Hell “released”
・ October 22nd-December 31st: North America # 4b (37 performances)
This is KISS in 1974. The main performance of this work in Detroit was the 12th performance of “North America # 2” two months after the release of “Messenger from Hell”. Speaking of “Detroit in 1974,” enthusiastic collectors may think of the soundboard album “DETROIT 1974 1ST SHOW,” but this work is a separate performance. As a matter of fact, KISS also held 6 performances in 1974 alone. It’s a good opportunity, so let’s organize it here as well.
“KISS Tour”
・ April 7 “DETROIT 1974 1ST SHOW”
・ April 12: Michigan Palace
・ April 13: Michigan Palace ← ★ This work ★
・ September 28: Michigan Palace
“HOTTER THAN HELL Tour”

・ December 21: Michigan Palace
In this way, this work is the third Detroit. It was also the second day of the two consecutive performances. This work shot at such a show is just a shocking image. It’s a phantom pro shot that was released online very recently and was deleted in a blink of an eye. However, it is a little different from the pro shot that you generally imagine. Whether it was taken by the staff for the material, it is captured with a single camera from the back of the venue, and it looks like an audience at a glance. Moreover, each song is not full and there are cuts in the middle, and even 9 songs take about 30 minutes. When this happens, I’m wondering if it’s 8mm, which is popular these days, but for that, each cut is long. It’s a sound board with solid sound, and it’s long enough to immerse yourself in one song, if not perfect.
The origin alone is a shock, but the contents are even more amazing. Peter shook his head youthfully as if his neck was fluttering, and Space Ace, who should have come from a Gendal star, is still in leather. “Firehouse” is not a siren, but a shobo that rings a bell. Under such circumstances, it has an impact that Paul and Jean are almost the same as they are now (although they are a little lighter).
Following such a Detroit video is a bonus video of the New York performance. This is obviously 8mm, and even 3 songs are about 2 and a half minutes long. However, its value is comparable to the main Detroit footage, and you can enjoy the first stage of 1974 (as you can see in the schedule above) with a lot of do-ups.
Anyway, it was a shock. Pressing was postponed only for the content with cuts even in one song, but the vintage content and high image quality are not hampered. The “DETROIT & LARGO 1975 (Shades 1568)” I introduced the other day was also amazing, but its value and impact are not comparable to this work. A miracle excavation video where you can stare at the four people who have just started running for about 30 minutes. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.
★ One-camera pro shot of “April 13, 1974 Detroit performance”. It was taken by the staff for the material, and it was a one-camera from the back of the venue, and while there was a cut in one song, the video quality was excellent and the sound was also a sound board. The length of one cut is much longer than the so-called 8 mm, so you can immerse yourself in it. The appearance of Peter and the leather ace who shake their heads youthfully is extremely rare, and the “Firehouse” where the SE of the bell is used instead of the siren is also unique to the very early days (Jean’s fire is well done). In addition, the 8mm video of the January 26th New York performance, which was the first stage in 1974, is also included as a bonus. It is a shocking rare image immediately after debut.
★ It’s a really amazing video. Must-see !!!!
