Glenn · Tipton also appeared, it was definitely a highlight of “FIREPOWER JAPAN TOUR” Tokyo 2 show. A definitive edition appears that completely includes all of the same in the same recordingist collection.
What is included in this work is of course “November 28, 2018: Tokyo Dome City Hall” performance and “November 29: Forest of Musashino” performance. It is a 4-disc set that arranges each full audience recording for each 2 discs. This week we released a superb live album from Okayama to Tokyo. First of all, let’s organize the collection on a schedule.

Over, all six performances. Although five performances other than Sapporo came out, Tokyo is the last place of the Japanese tour. Glenn appeared both in the 2 performances, and it made me boisterous. Especially on the last day Musashino Forest Comprehensive Sports Plaza will be released as “MUSASHINO FOREST ARENA 2018 (Shades 997)” in addition to this disc 3-4.
The biggest point of such work is in the highlights feeling of Glenn appearance, but the sound that conveys it is also wonderful. Recording was the name recordingist who is active mainly in the Kanto area, especially those who mass-produce masterpieces by HR / HM and Progress. If West Japan is “strongest” Mr. East, this person is often a masterpiece with this direction …… East and West confrontation. Actually, this work is a recording of insignia coming up with a very thick core in front of me. The environment is completely different between “Tokyo Dome City Hall” of about 3,000 people and “Musashino Forest General Sports Plaza” of 10,000 people, which is also a difference between both recordings. However, the difference is a slight feeling of the ringing feeling, both of which are powerful but extremely neat. There is a certain sense of unity. I say not choosing Kobo brush, but name recorders are not to choose the venue. It is a live set that prove it with sound.
It depicts with that sound is a great performance of highlight 2 performances. This storm is a storm of great praise that “the best tour of the 21st century” in any show, but the essence of Rob Harford’s essence is amazing. Anyway the voice grew well, and if the high tone is also perfect, it is deep power that throws down on the des-voice. Although the “Painkiller” like sharpening the life bursts at the end of the set, it screams extensively without rubbing it or yore. Although the appearance of a gray hair beard has become more god-honored, the singing voice exceeds the range of “67 years old” and is rather rejuvenated. It was also overwhelming at the work site, but when it comes to live album with only voice, its supernatural work is more brilliant.
In addition, the spectacle which is unique to Tokyo is also a point. I do not feel the distance of the huge venue in the sound, but I feel the passion to deliver singing voice to the rear seat. Especially the last day “Musashino no Mori” is overwhelming. The venue in various places was 1,000 to 2,000 people, whereas only 10,000 people venue is a different place on this day. While the scale beyond the Nippon Budokan is transformed into the spectacle of the performance, it is struck with a powerful sound that does not feel its extent.
Also, the set is also different from the local performance. Four performances from Sapporo to Osaka were fixed, but the Tokyo Encore 1 performance “The Hellion / Electric Eye” of the first song fell, and “Metal Gods” is played on behalf of Tokyo Concert. Sorry that there are no running tracks that symbolize PRIEST … … or something I think, this “Metal Gods” is the appearance song of Glenn · Tipton. It will play three songs “Breaking the Law” “Living After Midnight” as it is. And this appearance scene is the highest highlight of this work. Without any comment, the suddenly the voice of “um ぉ ぉ ぉ!” “Kyat! Glengren !!” flies. And, on the traditional riff which is extremely thick, the venue is a big chorus of “Meeeetal gooods !!”. Heavy metal praises filled with even rigor like a religious event. In that moment we can set it up with a superb sound.
I think that there are also many people who have hotened my heart with the letters of “PRIEST WILL BE BACK!” At the work site. It certainly comes back again. Steel God delivered more than enough songs and metal to believe so. But at the “next” opportunity, could we meet Glen …? Two performances with Glenn that may possibly be the last one. The whole picture is a set of four pieces that penetrated with the finest sound full of unity until the performance from “War Pigs” before the performance to “We Are The Champions” after the performance. One that becomes a big favorite even in release · rush. Please, enjoy it as much as you want.

グレン・ティプトンも登場し、間違いなく“FIREPOWER JAPAN TOUR”のハイライトだった東京２公演。その一部始終を同一録音家コレクションで完全収録した決定版が登場です。
本作に収録されているのは、もちろん「2018年11月28日：東京ドームシティ・ホール」公演と「11月29日：武蔵野の森」公演。それぞれのフル・オーディエンス録音をディスク２枚ずつに配した４枚組です。今週は岡山から東京に至るまでの極上ライヴアルバムが一挙リリース。まずは、日程でコレクションを整理しておきましょう。

以上、全６公演。札幌以外の５公演が出揃ったわけですが、東京は日本ツアーの最終地。２公演ともグレンが登場し、大いに沸かせてくれました。特に最終日の武蔵野の森総合スポーツプラザは、本作のディスク３-４の他、『MUSASHINO FOREST ARENA 2018（Shades 997）』としてもリリースされます。
そんな本作の最大のポイントはグレン登場のハイライト感にあるわけですが、それを伝えるサウンドも実に素晴らしい。録音したのは関東を中心に活動している名録音家で、特にHR/HMやプログレ関係で名作を量産している人物。西日本が“最強”氏なら、東日本はこの方……と東西対決になることも多い名手です。実際、本作は極太の芯が目の前にグイグイと迫ってくる銘品録音。約3,000人規模の“東京ドームシティ・ホール”と１万人の“武蔵野の森総合スポーツプラザ”では環境がまるで違いますし、それが両録音の差異にもなっている。しかし、その違いは僅かな鳴りの感触程度であり、どちらも図太くパワフルでありながら極めて端正。確かな統一感が宿っているのです。弘法筆を選ばずと言いますが、名録音家は会場を選ばない。それを音で証明するようなライヴセットなのです。
そのサウンドで描かれるのは、ハイライト２公演の大熱演。今回はどのショウでも「21世紀のベスト・ツアー」と大絶賛の嵐ですが、その要たるロブ・ハルフォードの熱唱が凄い。とにかく良く声が伸び、ハイトーンも絶好調ならデスヴォイスに肉薄する吐き捨てもド迫力。セット終盤には命を削るような「Painkiller」が炸裂するものの、それも擦れもヨレもせず図太く叫びきる。白髪髭の容姿がいっそ神懸かってきたわけですが、その歌声は「67歳にしては」の域を超え、むしろ若返っている。現場でも圧倒的でしたが、音声だけのライヴアルバムになると、その神業が一層鮮やかです。
さらに東京ならではのスペクタクルもポイント。サウンドには巨大会場の遠さは感じないのですが、後方席まで歌声を届けようとする情熱が感じられる。特に最終日の“武蔵野の森”は圧倒的。各地の会場は1,300人から2,000人規模だったのに対し、この日だけはケタ違いの１万人会場。日本武道館を超えるスケールが演奏のスペクタクルに転化されつつ、その広さを感じさせないパワフル・サウンドで叩きつけられるのです。
また、セットも地方公演とは異なる。札幌から大阪までの４公演は固定でしたが、東京２公演はアンコール１曲目の「The Hellion/Electric Eye」が落ち、代わって「Metal Gods」が演奏されるのです。PRIESTの象徴たる疾走曲がないのは残念……かと思いきや、この「Metal Gods」こそがグレン・ティプトンの登場曲。そのまま「Breaking the Law」「Living After Midnight」と３曲を共演してくれるのです。そして、この登場シーンこそが本作最大のハイライト。何のコメントもない中で突如「うぉぉぉぉ！」「きゃーっ！グレンッグレェェンー!!」の声が飛び交う。そして、重厚極まる伝統のリフに乗せ、会場中が「Meeeetal gooods!!」の大合唱。まるで宗教行事のような厳かささえ湛えた重金属賛歌。そのただ中に極上サウンドで立てるのです。
現場で「PRIEST WILL BE BACK!!」の文字に胸を熱くされた方も多いと思います。確かにまた戻ってきてくれる。鋼鉄神は、そう信じるに十二分な絶唱とメタルを届けてくれました。しかしその“次”の機会に、グレンにも逢えるだろうか……。もしかしたら最後になるかも知れないグレンとの２公演。その全貌を、開演前の「War Pigs」から終演後の「We Are The Champions」に至るまで統一感いっぱいの極上サウンドで貫いた４枚組。リリース・ラッシュでも大本命となる１本。どうぞ、思う存分お楽しみください。
