JUDAS PRIEST in 2005 when Rob Halford returned and returned to Japan for the first time in 14 years. The original recording that allows you to experience the glorious scene is the world’s first public release.
This work contains two performances. “May 18 + 19, 2005: Nippon Budokan” is the first appearance audience recording of the performance. Speaking of the resurrected JUDAS PRIEST Nippon Budokan, it is also familiar that the official video “RISING IN THE EAST” was left. Let’s check what kind of position this work is on the schedule at the time.
・May 8: Pacifico Yokohama
・May 10: Nagoya Civic Hall
・May 11: Ishikawa Welfare Pension Hall
・ May 13: Hiroshima Post Bank Hall
・May 14: Zepp Fukuoka
・May 16: Osaka Castle Hall
・May 18: Nippon Budokan ←★Disc 1-2★
・May 19: Nippon Budokan ←★Disc 3-4★ & Official
A total of 8 performances. Steel God has visited Japan 14 times since his first visit to Japan in 1978, but 2005 was the biggest year when Rob returned. If the number of performances of 8 performances is the largest, it was only in 2005 that two consecutive performances at Nippon Budokan were realized. This work is a live set that vacuum-packed the whole two days with the same recording artist collection. The second day (May 19th) is covered with the official video “RISING IN THE EAST”, but on the first day (May 18th) you can fully experience a completely different live performance.
“And the sound is superb!” After all, even if you play it side by side with “RISING IN THE EAST”, you won’t lose. Especially amazing is the first day (DISC 1-2). Although the thick core approaches at zero distance and absorbs the slight hall noise, it also produces a glossy metallic luster and does not hide the details at all. It is a ridiculous sound that can be listened to side by side with the official sound board, while the on-site feeling and reality unique to audience recording are also sufficient (On the second day [DISC 3-4], the sound is slightly thicker, so the “official class!” It’s hard to say, but it’s still a soundboard class).
“There’s a reason for that sound.” The new excavation master this time was created by a person who has created a series of super masterpieces in the early 21st century HR/HM series. Press masterpieces such as MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP’s “OSAKA 2006 DAT MASTER (Zodiac 523)”, Yngwie Malmsteen’s “OSAKA 2001 DAT MASTER (Zodiac 521)”, and EUROPE’s “HIROSHIMA 2005 DAT MASTER (Zodiac 522)”. It is a master who sprinkled. If you have experienced even one of these, I think it will come to mind, but this taper’s work is not of average high sound quality. As a matter of fact, recordings in the early 2000s are not easily made into presses due to their popularity, but there are only super recordings that have no choice but to be permanently preserved. This work is the JUDAS PRIEST edition.
The sound of such an official audience (?) depicts the return of the Priest! Full show to declare. The set is the same as “RISING IN THE EAST” for both performances, but it is also a good opportunity, so let’s organize it.

… and it looks like this. There is only the first reunion, and it is a gorgeous and gorgeous Greatest Hits, and at the same time it is historical. With an unusually wide range of choices, 11 songs other than the Ripper era, “Rocka Rolla” and “Imoral Code” are played evenly. On the other hand, it’s not just a hit parade either. There are plenty of new songs “Revolution”, “Worth Fighting For”, “Deal With The Devil”, and “Hellrider” that were only played on the “ANGEL OF RETRIBUTION Tour”, and although it is a long time coming back, it has been sealed for over ten years. Shimau “Exciter” and “Hot Rockin’” are also shown.
As expected, it was “the same show as RISING IN THE EAST + a show very similar”, so permanent preservation was postponed, but the content and sound quality are definitely press grade. It is a super masterpiece that will definitely enhance the reputation of the master collection. Mania is absolutely inevitable because it is for mania. Please enjoy the 4-disc set that will take you back to that hot steel spring festival!
“May 18th + 19th, 2005: Nippon Budokan” performance super superb audience recording. Pressing was avoided because it was “the same show as RISING IN THE EAST + the previous day’s show”, but the sound is as terrible as the official sound board. “Budokan x 2DAYS” is only once in the history of Priest, and “Revolution”, “Worth Fighting For”, “Deal With The Devil” and “Hellrider” limited to this tour are also delicious legendary 2 performances You can fully experience it.
