Taylor Hawkins died suddenly on March 25, 2022. Two superb professional shots that convey his last brave figure will be released at the same time.
This work is the first of such two consecutive releases. This is a multi-camera pro shot of “March 18, 2022 Santiago Performance”. FOO FIGHTERS is on tour when the obituary is so sudden. Under such circumstances, the Santiago performance of this work is the second performance of “Latin America # 1”. It was a concert just one week before Taylor died.
This show is part of the “South American version of Lollapalooza”, and the pattern is recorded as a professional shot and distributed worldwide. Even before the obituary, it was attracting attention from all over the world as the latest superb video. In fact, its quality is completely official with no questions asked. South America is now on par with Europe and the United States … No, it is a rock center that surpasses, and “South America version Lollapalooza” is one of the biggest festivals. 本作はそんな２連作リリースの第一弾。「2022年３月18日サンティアゴ公演」のマルチカメラ・プロショットです。あまりに突然の訃報が発せられた時、FOO FIGHTERSはツアー中。“南米版ロラパルーザ”に出演している最中でした。まずは、そのスケジュールを俯瞰し、現在までに判明している状況を整理してみましょう。

これが現在までに公表されている2022年のスケジュール。当初「ラテンアメリカ」ツアーは６公演が予定されていましたが、実際に行われたのは３公演目まで。４公演目のボゴタ公演の当日になってテイラーが急逝。残り２公演の出演が中止となりました。その後はグラミー賞の授賞式や北米／欧州ツアーと予定が組まれていましたが、現在は不透明。公式発表はまだのようですが、恐らくすべてキャンセルになるのではないかとも言われています。そんな中で本作のサンティアゴ公演は、「ラテンアメリカ#1」の２公演目。テイラー死去の丁度１週間前にあたるコンサートでした。
このショウは“南米版ロラパルーザ”の一環であり、その模様はプロショット収録されて全世界に配信。訃報の前から超極上の最新映像として世界中から注目されていました。実際、そのクオリティは問答無用の完全オフィシャル級。今や南米は欧米と並ぶ……いや、凌駕するロックの中心地であり、“南米版ロラパルーザ”は屈指の巨大フェス。その最新映像だけあって画質・音質も完璧ならカメラワークもミックスも鉄壁。巨大会場のスケール感も、大群衆がビートに乗ってハネるダイナミズムも超美麗に楽しめるのです。
しかも、本作はそんなプロショットの最高峰マスターでもある。話題の映像だけに、解像度や配信の経緯が異なるマスターが様々に登場しており、中には圧縮感が厳しかったり、音が激しくズレているものも多数出回っています。しかし、本作にその心配はなし。（BDではないので限界はありますが）数ある中でももっとも美しく、音ズレもないマスターを厳選しているのです。
その超絶クオリティで描かれるのは、悲劇が忍び寄っている事など想像もできない大充実のフルショウ。今週は正真正銘のラスト・ステージ『LOLLAPALOOZA ARGENTINA 2022（Shades 1498）』も同時リリースとなるわけですが、実のところセットは本作の方がちょっと美味しい。ここで比較しながら整理してみましょう。
