Taylor Hawkins died suddenly on March 25, 2022. Two superb professional shots that convey his last brave figure will be released at the same time.
This work is the second of such two consecutive releases. This is a multi-camera pro shot of Taylor’s last stage “March 20, 2022 San Isidro Performance”. I will leave the situation including the future to the explanation of “LOLLAPALOOZA CHILE 2022 (Shades 1497)” which will be released at the same time, but here let’s narrow down to the actual show and confirm the position with a more detailed schedule. ..

This is the history of 2022 up to the present time. He has been touring Latin America in Mexico / South America since mid-March, and his highlight is his appearance in “Lollapalooza for South America”. The San Isidro performance of this work was the Argentine version of the show. Originally, the Asuncion performance (Paraguay) was scheduled for two days later (March 22nd), but due to bad weather, the event itself was interrupted without waiting for FOO FIGHTERS to come into play. A Bogotá performance (Colombia) three days later (March 25) was also organized, but on the night of the day, Taylor complained of chest pain and requested an ambulance. By the time the rescuers arrived at the hotel where they were staying, he was in cardiopulmonary arrest and was unable to return without resuscitation. It seems that the cause of death has not been identified yet, but it has been announced that 10 types of substances such as the cannabis component THC, tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines, and opioids were detected in the autopsy of the Bogotá authorities.
Anyway, as a result, the Asuncion performance / Bogotá performance was not realized, and this work (March 20th) became the last stage of Taylor’s life. This work, which recorded such a show, is truly a superb multi-camera pro shot. “Lollapalooza” is a huge event that makes its name known to the world, and Argentina is one of the two major rock powers in South America along with Brazil. Since it is the latest professional shot, the spectacle of a huge audience, the gorgeous stage, and the camera work that captures them are all completely official. It is a video that has been loved by fans all over the world since its distribution, and has been attracting more attention due to Taylor’s obituary, but this work is also the highest master. As with the Santiago performance (March 18th), various masters are currently appearing in this video, and many of them have a gap between the video and audio. This work has been made into a DVD from the best version that does not feel strange.

…… And it looks like this. There is less one song “This Is A Call” than the sister work “LOLLAPALOOZA CHILE 2022”, but other than that, it is the same. There are plenty of precious scenes unique to the latest tour, such as the new songs “No Son Of Mine” and “Shame Shame” and the jam corner with guitar / keyboard solos. Furthermore, following the Santiago performance, Perry Farrell appeared on the cover “Been Caught Stealing” of JANE’S ADDICTION on this day as well. You can fully enjoy the gorgeous co-starring with complete official quality.
And the heaviest thing is “Somebody To Love”. It’s a cover of QUEEN that I started last year, but the frontman here is Taylor Hawkins (Dave sits on the stool instead). With familiar actions, the audience will be disappointed, and the moving ballads will be sung wonderfully. Although it is the taste that was seen in “LOLLAPALOOZA CHILE 2022”, this work is genuine and the last brave figure. It’s a song that will be a symbol of this work in the future.
Taylor greets the big circle with the last song of his life, “Everlong”, and closes the curtain in a reverberation that regrets his remnants. FOO FIGHTERS and Taylor Hawkins just performed enthusiastically without thinking that the tragedy was creeping up. It is a professional shot video that you can witness the whole story with complete official grade quality. It’s just a masterpiece as a musical piece, and it’s heavy enough to think after that. By all means, this is the one that I would like you to face with all your spirits.

2022年３月25日に急逝したテイラー・ホーキンス。彼の最後の勇姿を伝える極上プロショットが２作同時リリース決定です。
本作はそんな２連作リリースの第二弾。テイラーのラスト・ステージとなった「2022年３月20日サン・イシドロ公演」のマルチカメラ・プロショットです。今後を含めての状況については同時リリースとなる『LOLLAPALOOZA CHILE 2022（Shades 1497）』の解説に譲るとしまして、ここでは実際に行われたショウに絞り込み、より詳細なスケジュールでポジションを確かめてみましょう。

これが現時点に至るまでの2022年の歩み。３月半ばからメキシコ／南米のラテンアメリカ・ツアーを行っており、そのハイライトは“南米版ロラパルーザ”への出演。本作のサン・イシドロ公演はそのアルゼンチン版となるショウでした。本来であれば、２日後（３月22日）にアスンシオン公演（パラグアイ）も予定されていたのですが、悪天候のためにFOO FIGHTERSの出番を待たずしてイベント自体が中断。さらに３日後（３月25日）のボゴタ公演（コロンビア）も組まれていましたが、当日夜になってテイラーが胸痛を訴えて救急車を要請。救急隊員が滞在先のホテルに到着した時には心肺停止状態であり、蘇生術の甲斐もなく帰らぬ人となってしまいました。現在もなお、死因は特定されていないようですが、ボゴタ当局の検死では大麻成分のTHCや三環系抗うつ薬、ベンゾジアゼピン、オピオイドなど10種類の物質が検出されたと発表されています。
ともあれ、結果としてアスンシオン公演／ボゴタ公演は実現せず、本作（３月20日）がテイラー生前最後のラスト・ステージとなりました。そんなショウを記録した本作は、まさに超極上のマルチカメラ・プロショット。“ロラパルーザ”は世界にその名を轟かせる巨大イベントですし、アルゼンチンはブラジルと並ぶ南米の２大ロック大国。その最新プロショットなのですから、膨大な観客のスペクタクルも、ゴージャスなステージも、それらを捉えきったカメラワークも、すべてが完全オフィシャル級です。配信長後から世界中のファンに愛され、テイラーの訃報を受けてさらに注目を集めている映像なわけですが、本作はその最高峰マスターでもある。サンティアゴ公演（３月18日）と同じく、現在この映像はさまざまなマスターが登場していまして、中には映像と音声がズレているものも多数出回っている。本作は、そんな違和感のないベスト・バージョンからDVD化されているのです。
そんなパーフェクト・クオリティで描かれるのは、テイラー生前最後のフルショウ。ここでそのセットも整理しておきましょう。

……と、このようになっています。姉妹作『LOLLAPALOOZA CHILE 2022』より１曲「This Is A Call」が少ないのですが、それ以外は同一。新曲「No Son Of Mine」「Shame Shame」やギター／キーボード・ソロを交えたジャム・コーナーなど、貴重（になってしまった）な最新ツアーのならではのシーンもたっぷり。さらにはサンティアゴ公演に続き、この日もJANE’S ADDICTIONのカバー「Been Caught Stealing」でペリー・ファレルが登場。その豪華共演も完全オフィシャル級クオリティでたっぷり楽しめるのです。
そして何よりも重いのが「Somebody To Love」。昨年から始めたQUEENのカバーなわけですが、ここでフロントマンを務めるのはテイラー・ホーキンス（代わってスツールに座るのはデイヴ）。手慣れたアクションで観客をノせにノせ、感動的なバラードを素晴らしく歌い上げていく。『LOLLAPALOOZA CHILE 2022』でも観られた趣向ではありますが、本作は正真正銘、最後の勇姿。今後、本作を象徴していく胸に迫る１曲なのです。
テイラーは生涯最後の１曲「Everlong」で大団円を迎え、名残を惜しむような残響の中で幕を閉じる本作。悲劇が忍び寄っているなどとは微塵も考えず、ただひたすら熱演を繰り広げたFOO FIGHTERSとテイラー・ホーキンス。その一部始終を完全オフィシャル級クオリティで目撃できるプロショット映像です。単に音楽作品として大傑作であり、その後を思うほどに重い。ぜひ、全霊で正対していただきたい１枚です。
