51 years since the legendary first visit to Japan, DEEP PURPLE is about to visit Japan for the first time with a new guitarist: Simon McBride. The latest live album that is perfect for that preparation has arrived.
What is imbued in this work is “February 10, 2023 Bensalem Performance”. It is a transcendental audience recording that vacuum-packed the whole story. This article will be published less than a week before the first day of the Japan tour. I’m sure there are many people who don’t usually check the bootleg, so let’s first review the history from joining McBride to the present.

This is the activity summary for 2022/2023 that has been published so far. In fact, it’s already been a year since McBride participated. The Bensalem performance of this work is the first day of “North America # 2” which was held before coming to Japan. It was the first concert of 2023.
This work recorded at such a site is exactly the best audience with “super”. It’s also amazing enough to make you want to line up like “super super super…”. In fact, the sound is just like a sound board … a type that makes you doubt your ears, “Is this really an audience?” In fact, it is a master released by the recording person himself, and the information that he used the famous machine “schoeps mk41” is also added. It is definitely a customer record, but the sound that flows out makes an objection to it.
Anyway, the thick core reaches the ear with zero sense of distance, and the too bright outline and separate feeling are fiercely tight. The scene is supposed to be a theater in the casino, but I can’t feel the hall noise even if I listen with headphones. Even though it is a rapidly evolving audience recording, is it possible to have such a tight sound with a microphone recording through space!?
The full show of the new generation DEEP PURPLE, which has been more refined than last year, is drawn with such a magical super-tight sound. The set is the same as last year, but I think there are some people who will touch McBride DP for the first time, so let’s organize it again.
