From the first Japan tour as solo realized after David Lee Roth released the 2nd solo “SKYSCRAPER” announced in 1988, the pattern of the Tokyo · Japan Budokan performance (the first day) held on October 3, Sound quality is the highest sound audience · source! The solo career that Dave Lee Ross who withdrew from VAN HALL, who started with ringing accompanied by super players such as Steve Vai, Billy Scene, and Greg Bisonornet, is the first album “EAT’EM AND SMILE “won fourth place nationwide, suddenly breaks. Even though Vai and Billy are showing off superiorship as if they are sharpened, Dave ‘s personality which emits a strong presence even when turning its two names over is unmatched. The power and energy were shining more than when VAN HALEN was enrolled.
Two years later, the 2nd album “SKYSCRAPER” released in ’88 did not become sensational as much as Billy left the band without waiting for the album release. But this work turned into a “harmony” rather than a “collision” between Dave and Vai had a different surface whiteness than the previous work. The album sales are also going well, and on the tour accompanying the release, on August 20, we will also appear at the British specialty festival “Monsters of Lock”. After that they took a nationwide tour of about 40 performances. In September Japan fans waited for, the first visit to Japan as a solo was realized.
In this ’88 Japan tour, starting with the Sapporo performance on September 20, the circuit with Sendai, Yokohama, Nagoya and Osaka. Lastly, I performed four consecutive performances from September 30 to October 4 (the first two performances in Tokyo were the Yoyogi Olympic pool) and concluded all 11 performances. In this work, the 10th public performance of October 3rd of Japan Budokan Pavilion (Tokyo 3rd day) is recorded from the original cassette master which will be released completely.

This work is based on the recording of the taper leaving many masterpiece sound sources at this Nippon Budokan including DIO’s “DRAGON HEAD” and M.S.G. “THE MOVING ELEMENT”. Even in this work, the excellent sound that leads to those works is wonderful. Even with the intro and the opening “The Bottom Line” wrapped up in excitement like a rebirth, you can properly focus on the sound of the stage and you can feel the sense of reality suitable for the best entertainment properly. Everything of the band members, such as Vai’s guitar and Greg Bisonnett’s drum, is captured with clear real sound, and its ease of listening is outstanding. スティーブ・ヴァイ、ビリー・シーン、グレッグ・バイソナーネットなどのスーパープレイヤーを伴って鳴り響き始めたヴァン・ホールから撤退したデイブ・リー・ロスが突然全国4位を獲得したファーストアルバム「イート・エム・アンド・スマイル」休憩。ヴァイとビリーは研ぎ澄まされたように優越性を誇示しているが、2つの名前をひっくり返しても強い存在感を放つデイブの個性は比類のないものである。ヴァン・ヘイレンが在籍していた時よりもパワーとエネルギーが輝いていました。
