It was revealed that Mike Millard was also recording Bowie’s stage by “LA FORUM 1978 MIKE MILLARD 1ST GEN” which was a great excavation from the 1978 “ISOLAR 2” tour, but further Millard It was revealed last week that he recorded even the “THE PHILLY DOGS TOUR” tour of 1974, which has made Bowie mania all over the world agitated. The show of “LA FORUM 1978 MIKE MILLARD 1ST GEN” was still a day with a predecessor LP called “SLAUGHTER IN THE AIR”, but this time it was said that there was no sound source at all in Anaheim performances. Therefore, maniacs all over the world are all the more prominent.
1974 was the year 1974 when Mike Millard’s recording began to take off. However, the recording was not as lively as that of the following year, and the existence of the sound source is not well known. For that reason, even the fact that he had been recording the “THE PHILLY DOGS TOUR” tour was unknown so far, so the excitement of this excavation was awesome!
Therefore, the sound image is not as close as that of the recording after 1975, but the unique sound quality with a sense of distance combined with an amazing stereo feeling is mirrored. Besides, the freshness is also outstanding. The tape may have kept fresh because it had been sleeping without ever appearing among traders. At the beginning of the show, the sound of the venue was not stable, which caused ups and downs in the performance and Bowie’s singing voice, but it also calms down from “Sweet Thing”. Above all, Bowie’s singing voice is getting more and more clear, so it’s irresistible. And the realistic feel of breathing in the air of 1974 is also excellent.

In addition to the sound quality that makes you feel such a unique charm, the most shocking thing is that there was no sound source until now, and on the contrary, it captures the end of “THE PHILLY DOGS TOUR” tour in September. The high value of materials is immeasurable. Speaking of September, the main performance is the continuous night performances at the LA Universal Amphitheater, and the official classic that was created from that is “CRACKED ACTOR (LIVE LOS ANGELES ’74)”. Don’t miss “DEFINITIVE LOS ANGLES 1974”, which is a different mix and edit version of the old version.
However, at this time, not only the sound board of this day, but also the audience recordings that captured other days were concentrated in LA. Until now, the only sound source other than the Universal Amphitheater is San Diego on September 11, the next performance after the LA schedule (the sound quality is not good). In other words, the “THE PHILLY DOGS TOUR” late September had been veiled until now.
As a maniac can imagine, Bowie in 1974 was a time when he quickly practiced the idea of boiling cocaine as fuel. That’s why it’s a big mistake to think that the tour was held with the same structure all the time. The proof of this is the Anaheim performance that Millard recorded this time again. The song played by Encore on the stage in September was thought to be “John, I’m Only Dancing (Again)” as LA had proved.
However, it was “Somebody Up There Likes Me” that was played from the pre-release from Bowie called “New song before release” like the encore of that day! It is a song that will see the light of the day with the new album “YOUNG AMERICANS” that was in production at that time, but on the stage it was thought that “THE PHILLY DOGS TOUR” had been put into the repertoire from the leg of October. But what about it, it was said that it was being shown on this day after the arrangement had already been completed. It is possible that this is a live premiere, but in any case the performance heard here is a new fact that is amazing for Bowie mania all over the world.

And after all, it’s a shock that the performance itself exceeds “CRACKED ACTOR (LIVE LOS ANGELES ’74)”. In the first place only in September, Sly and Family Stone drummer Greg Jericho and Santana’s Doug Roach are the base for the rhythm band with a black feeling for a limited time, and they are completely band after the nightly performances in LA. It is the mirrored quality that makes you feel as if you are familiar with. The back chorus corps is also more gorgeous than in LA, and it predicts the evolution to the deep Seoul route stage after October.
What’s more, Bowie’s voice is in excellent shape. Originally in 1974, Bowie was soaked in cocaine, but it is clear that his voice is faint because of unhealthiness It is also clear in the official “DAVID LIVE” that included the stage in July, but it is still faint What is the greatness of Bowie on this day. It was so strong that it even exceeded the official LA.
Also, the September tour was the last time the legendary “DIAMOND DOGS” stage set was used, and troubles continued on the stage set during the tour from June to July, so I want to use it again as Bowie There wasn’t. However, in September he continued to use it in a form that was persuaded by his manager Tony Defries. The “DIAMOND DOGS” stage set is also reflected in the photos from the audience that actually captured the Anaheim stage.
Therefore, not only the set, but also the repertoire is the last repertoire of “Big Brother” to “Chant Of The Ever Circling Skeletal Family” as well as the ending of the album “DIAMOND DOGS” called Medley. Don’t miss Jericho’s drumming exploding here. In this way, as a tour, the “THE PHILLY DOGS TOUR” concept was started, but the color of “DIMOND DOGS” was still left in the transient period. Above all, the value of having already shown “Somebody Up There Likes Me” is immeasurable. Amazing new excavation sound source to enjoy such precious scenes with high sound quality. Millard did it again!

まだ「L.A.
