BON JOVI in 1995 showed off their dignity as champions even at the height of grunge/alternative music. Introducing a professional record set where you can enjoy a full show of these guys who expanded the horizons of rock.
This work contains two superb masters born from one show. This is a 3-disc set with the stereo soundboard recording of “May 18, 1995 Seoul Performance” on DISC 1-2 and the multi-camera professional shot on DISC 3. At the time, they were in the middle of their “THESE DAYS Tour.” Speaking of live shows at that time, the official work “LIVE FROM LONDON” is a symbol, and our shop’s professional shot gift titles “ECUADOR 1995” and “YOKOHAMA 1996 2ND NIGHT” are also popular. This is BON JOVI in 1995/1996. “THESE DAYS Tour” starts with the newly developed “Asia” leg. The Seoul performance of this work is the 8th performance as part of this project. It was also a show just before coming to Japan. They have only performed in Korea twice so far, and this was their first live performance (they also appeared in a promo for several songs in 1992).
The world’s biggest rock band will be visiting, and the event will be broadcast on TV and radio. This work is a combination of both with the best master. In fact, the quality is the best ever. Korean broadcasting in the 1990s was in the process of development, along with South America, and it was common for there to be very few top quality bands. However, this work is a valuable exception. As expected, I can’t say it’s “completely official” by the modern standards of the digital era, but I can say it out loud by the standards of the time. The best thing about both the sound board and pro shots is the freshness of the master. There are almost no dubbing marks, there is no distortion or distortion on the FM sound board, and the TV pro shots have bright colors and clear details. The prejudice I had about “Korean broadcasts in the 1990s” has crumbled, and I can’t help but dream of “Maybe that band’s SBD and professional shots still exist with this quality…”.
It is the historic first Korean live that is depicted with such quality. The official “LIVE FROM LONDON” and “ECUADOR 1995” are edited videos that are far from full sets, so let’s organize the set by comparing it with the full Japanese professional shot “YOKOHAMA 1996 2ND NIGHT”.

Perhaps because “THESE DAYS” had not yet been released, the new song was limited to “Diamond Ring.” It is composed of gorgeous greatest hits that will take you to new places all at once. The fun cover songs chosen were the Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends” and John Fogerty’s “Rockin’ All Over The World.” The former was cut in the FM broadcast version, and this work is only included in DISC 3 of the TV broadcast version.
BON JOVI captivated a new country with their classic greatest hits. This is a 3-disc set where you can fully enjoy such frontier live with a stereo sound board and multi-camera professional shots. Please enjoy the superb master quality that overturns the conventional wisdom of Korean broadcasting.

これが1995年／1996年のBON JOVI。“THESE DAYS Tour”は新規開拓の「アジア」レッグからスタート。本作のソウル公演はその一環である８公演目。来日直前のショウでもありました。これまで彼らが行った韓国公演は二度だけであり、本作が初ライヴでもありました（1992年には数曲のプロモ出演もありました）。
世界の超大物ロックバンドの来訪とあって、その模様はテレビとラジオで放送。本作は、その両方をベスト・マスターでカップリングしたものなのです。実際、そのクオリティは過去最高。90年代の韓国放送は南米と並んで発展途上で、どのバンドでも極上級はほとんどないというのが通例でした。しかし、本作はその貴重な例外。さすがにデジタル大全盛の現代基準で「完全オフィシャル級」とは申せませんが、当時基準なら声を大にして言える。サウンドボード／プロショット共に、何よりも素晴らしいのはマスター鮮度。ダビング痕がほとんどなく、FMサウンドボードにはヨレや歪みが見当たらず、TVプロショットは発色も艶やかならディテールも鮮明。「90年代の韓国放送」に抱いていた偏見が崩れ、「あのバンドのSBDやプロショットも、このクオリティで残っているのかも……」と夢が広がっていくのを抑えられません。
そんなクオリティで描かれるのは、歴史的な初韓国ライヴ。公式『LIVE FROM LONDON』や『ECUADOR 1995』はフルセットとはほど遠い編集映像ですので、ここではフルの日本プロショット『YOKOHAMA 1996 2ND NIGHT』と比較しつつ、セットを整理してみましょう。
