Speaking of Sykes’ live album that became solo (for the sake of convenience, it will be abbreviated), “SCREAMING BLUE MURDER” “BAD BOY LIVE!” The famous board “BLUE MURDER” era. The strongest trio ensemble with Carmine Apis and Tony Franklin in a fully official super-sound, and is a classic classic that has long been the “official substitute”. In our shop, press masterpieces such as “INNOCENT CRIME” and “DEFINITIVE VOYAGE 1989” made a big hit, but this work is a sound board recording, but it sets it apart from the past. This time, it is a shock work that was digitized directly from the original DAT master finally discovered!

By the way, when you play such a shocking Omoto DAT, you hear a sound you never heard! In the previous version, all started with the synth sound of “Riot”, but this work was recorded from the venue BGM (JUDAS PRIEST “Reckless”) that was played before the start of the performance. This is the same for the end part. The previous version ended with Sykes’ MC “We’ll back and play soon! Thank you, Tokyo !!”, but in fact DAT was still running. The venue BGM (“Turbo Lover” of JUDAS PRIEST) was played, and the announcement of the venue’s end was recorded on the finest soundboard. And this is an explosion of a sense of age. Not only will you be familiar with the above, all of today’s performances have ended, and not only sale of goods, but also upcoming live tickets. The contents are intense, and the names of CATS IN BOOTS, Tommy Conwell, WINGER, KIX, and BULLETBOYS are lined up in September, and BLACK SABBATH comes in October. が I was excited about the contents of the first experience that suddenly jumped out, but it was only proof of Omoto DAT in total. Even more shocking is the whole sound. This is already super thick and super natural!で は It may sound a bit warmer than before, but it is the result of repeated mastering. This is the real sound. In fact, the fineness of the fines exceeds that of any conventional board. For example, “Valley Of The Kings”. The keyboard plays the bass of the contrabass in the intro, but the vibes are subtle! In the conventional version, it seems that a single note is sounding for a long time, but in the Omoto DAT, it is firm and thick, and even slightly shakes. We can clearly understand such subtleties.
Of course, this is just an example. Carmine’s drumming full of singing feels the vibration of the skin, and Franklin’s dancing fretless bass is also clear from the start of each sound to the moment of silence. And, after all, John Sykes’ guitar and singing voice! Pia The thick tone is even more powerful and the details are up, and the vibrant distortion, the crying choking, the synonymous grease, the deadly harmonics, and the string vibration level. Omoto DAT was inhaling the amount of information so far …. The “real sound” that suddenly faded the transcendent sound board that I had listened to, came out.

The masterpieces of the great masterpiece “BLUE MURDER” have been upgraded with live performances, and each song is awesome. Even the unreleased instrumental song “Boogie On The Good Foot” will bite a fierce battle.
Everything is amazing, but what I particularly want to say is “Out Of Love”. A very thick Les Paul crying and crying down while stretching nearly 2 minutes more than the studio version. Still, the softness is not at all, just a crying solo. It’s the first performance of Sykes, and it’s the ultimate solo that cannot be reached, even with Gary Moore. It was a highlight on the previous version, but the real sound was so delicate and delicate. In addition, the singing that is not defeated by such a legendary solo is also terrible. The singing that doesn’t shout out is a vocalization that vomits blood to the crying solo. Again, no matter what Cavadale is a singer of passion, the sharpness that can only be sung by Sykes will go through my heart.

The second visit to Japan is BLUE MURDER, a solo band of Sykes, but the first visit to Japan is a super band with talented people. It’s exactly a show of these three people, but the one that is worrisome is the “Still Of The Night” that lasts 11 minutes. Sykes suddenly starts wrongly in a wrong position, but still keeps playing without any fuss, and Carmine is also dynamic with a very percussive drumming that is totally different from WHITESNAKE (this sense, after all a genius!). Not only the original family WHITESNAKE, but also SYKES, COVERDALE / PAGE, and M3, there are a variety of masterpieces that have a variety of variations, but I have never heard of a bold and terrible yet delicate version. It’s a ridiculous live performance, with brilliant mistakes but the genius of the geniuses overflowing and leaking.

Regardless of official / unofficial, BLUE MURDER’s first superb sound board that has been acclaimed as “John Sykes’ masterpiece” for the first time in Japan. It is a transcendent live album ultimately evolved by the Omoto DAT master. The sound quality is valuable, and each one is transcendent and definitely a cultural heritage class, but the excitement of listening to it is too great. You can’t stop an underground album because you can meet such things.

その最高傑作に刻まれているのは「1989年8月25日:日本青年館」公演。その流出ステレオ・サウンドボード録音です。このサウンドボードは、まさに伝説。ソロになった(便宜上、言い切らせていただきます)サイクスのライヴアルバムと言えば『SCREAMING BLUE MURDER』『BAD BOY LIVE!』と日本で作られるのが定石なわけですが、本作はあの超名盤『BLUE MURDER』時代。カーマイン・アピス&トニー・フランクリンが揃った最強トリオ・アンサンブルを完全オフィシャル超サウンドで伝え、長年「公式代わり」となってきた定番中の大定番です。当店でも『INNOCENT CRIME』『DEFINITIVE VOYAGE 1989』といったプレス傑作が大ヒットしたわけですが、本作は同じサウンドボード録音でありながら、これまでとは一線を画すもの。この度、遂に発見された大元のDATマスターからダイレクトにデジタル化された衝撃作なのです!

・8月25日:日本青年館 ←★本作★

以上、全7公演。このサウンドボードの初登場となった『THREE PIRATES…RIOT』では“MZA有明”とされていましたが、それはミスクレジット。5公演目の日本青年館が正しい会場です。
さて、そんな衝撃の大元DATを再生してみると……いきなり聴いた事のない音が! 従来盤ではどれも「Riot」のシンセ音から始まっていましたが、本作は開演前に流されていた会場BGM(JUDAS PRIESTの「Reckless」)から録音されているのです。これは終演パートも同じ。従来盤はサイクスのMC「We’ll back and play soon! Thank you, Tokyo!!」で終わっていましたが、実はその後もDATは回っていた。会場BGM(JUDAS PRIESTの「Turbo Lover」)が流れ、会場の終演アナウンスも極上サウンドボードで録音されていたのです。しかも、これが時代感爆発。お馴染み「以上をもちまして、本日の公演はすべて終了致しました」やグッズ販売だけでなく、近日中のライヴチケットも案内される。その内容が強烈で、9月の予定にはCATS IN BOOTSやトミー・コンウェル、WINGER、KIX、BULLETBOYSの名がずらっと並び、10月にはBLACK SABBATHがやって来る。まさに1989年でしかあり得ない時代感が一気に吹き出すのです。
いきなり飛び出す初体験の内容に興奮してしまいましたが、それもトータルで見れば大元DATの証拠に過ぎない。それ以上に衝撃なのは、全体を貫くサウンドです。これがもう、超極太&超ナチュラル! パッと聴いた感じでは従来よりもややウォームに感じられるかも知れませんが、それは度重なるマスタリングによる結果。本作こそが本物のサウンドなのです。実際、微細部の細やかさは従来のどの盤よりも上回る。例えば、「Valley Of The Kings」。イントロでキーボードがコントラバスの重低音を奏でるのですが、そのヴァイヴの細やかなこと! 従来盤では単に単音が長く鳴っている感じですが、大元DATではしっかりと厚みがあり、極々僅かに揺れてもいた。そんな超機微までハッキリと分かるのです。
もちろん、これはあくまでも一例に過ぎません。歌心満載なカーマインのドラミングには皮の振動まで感じられ、フランクリンの踊るフレットレス・ベースも1音1音の立ち上がりから消音の刹那まで克明。そして、何と言ってもジョン・サイクスのギターと歌声! あの極太なトーンがさらに迫力を増しつつディテールもアップしており、豪快な歪みも泣きのチョーキングも代名詞のグリスも必殺のハーモニクスも弦の振動レベル。大元DATはここまでの情報量を吸い込んでいた……これまで聴いてきた超絶級サウンドボードが一気に色あせてしまう“本物の音”が吹き出すのです。
そんな大元サウンドで描かれるのが「天才ギタリスト最高の名演 vs ド級のリズム隊」による苛烈なるフルショウ。バトル前提のアンサンブル構造こそが命だったりもするのですが、セットも激レア&特濃。ここでその内容を整理してみましょう。

……と、このようになっています。『SCREAMING BLUE MURDER』『BAD BOY LIVE!』では聴けない曲は……と「★」印を付けようと思ったのですが、ほとんどに入ってしまう。公式ライヴ2作を合わせても被るのは「Riot」「Billy」「Jelly Roll」「Still Of The Night」くらいであり、他8曲は1989年だからこそのレパートリー。大名盤『BLUE MURDER』の名曲群も生演奏で遙かにグレードアップし、どの曲も凄まじいド迫力。未発表のインスト曲「Boogie On The Good Foot」でも苛烈なバトルをブチかましてくれます。
すべてが凄いのですが、特に言っておきたいのは「Out Of Love」。スタジオ版より2分近く伸張させつつ、極太のレスポールが泣きに泣いて泣き倒す。それでいて軟弱さがまるでなく、まさに号泣のソロ。サイクス一世一代の名演であり、師匠筋ゲイリー・ムーアであろうとも到達し得ない究極のソロを轟かせているのです。従来盤でもハイライトでしたが、本物サウンドがここまでぶっとく、繊細だったとは……。しかも、そんな伝説ソロに負けない熱唱も凄絶。叫びになりかけてならない絶唱は、号泣のソロに対して血を吐くようなヴォーカリゼーション。これまた、いかなカヴァデールが情念の歌い手であろうとも、サイクスにしか歌えない切実さが胸をえぐるのです。
そんなオリジナルだけでも胸が張り裂けんばかりですが、さらにレアなのがカバーの数々。二度目の来日ではサイクスのソロ然としていくBLUE MURDERですが、初来日ではあくまでも実力者が集ったスーパー・バンド。3人のキャリアからもセレクトされており、ロッドの「Hot Legs」はカーマイン、THE FIRMの「Closer」はフランクリン、そしてサイクスの「Still Of The Night」のレパートリーが演奏される。
まさにこの3人だからこそのショウですが、中でも気になってしまうのはやはり11分に及ぶ「Still Of The Night」でしょう。いきなりサイクスがポジションを豪快に間違えてスタートしますが、それでもお構いなしに弾き続け、カーマインもWHITESNAKEとはまるで違う、最高にパーカッシヴなドラミングでダイナミックに盛り立てている(このセンス、やっぱり天才!)。本家WHITESNAKEはもちろん、後のSYKESやCOVERDALE/PAGE、M3に至るまでさまざまなバリエーションが存在する名曲中の名曲ですが、ここまで大胆で凄まじく、それでいて繊細なバージョンは聴いたことがない。豪快なミスがありながら天才たちの才気が溢れて漏れてこぼれ出す、とんでもない生演奏なのです。

公式/非公式を問わず、「ジョン・サイクスの最高傑作」と絶賛され続けてきたBLUE MURDER初来日の超極上サウンドボード。その大元DATマスターによって究極進化した超絶なるライヴアルバムです。貴重度だのサウンドクオリティだの、1つひとつが超絶で間違いなく文化遺産級なのですが、それ以上に聴いた特の感動が大きすぎる。こんなモノに出逢えてしまうから、アンダーグラウンド・アルバムは止められないのです。

The main press 2CD is John Sykes’ best masterpiece. This is a new masterpiece of a transcendent stereo sound board reborn by Omoto DAT Master. Although there is no need for bonuses in terms of quality or importance, this show is also famous for its audience shot & sound board masterpieces. It is a special bonus attached decision in the sense of knowing “the other side” of the super famous board.

As I have repeatedly introduced, this show has a leaked soundboard that is too great, and the image is a sashimi knob. Rather than saying, “Synchronizing the sound board with the image,” it was common to recognize that the sound board had an image. That may be true, but that’s not the case. The picture is taken from the second floor seat slightly to the left of the stage (close to John Sykes), and the view is superb. It seems that it is not the front row because there is no shadow of the front row in some places, but it can be confirmed only in the early stage. The point of view is lifted from the middle of the first song “Riot” to the top of the front row, after which the stage occupies the field of vision without being obstructed by obstructions.
In addition, zoom is bold. Although the camera shake prevention hope cannot be expected only in the 1980s, the zoom that comes close to Gui Gui is very dynamic. If you pull it, you can see the strongest trio, and the highlights will spread the sikes that go back to fill the screen. Furthermore, master freshness is also excellent. I’m not sure if it’s Omoto Master, but if it were different, wouldn’t it be the 1st Gene. There are almost no dubbing marks and tape twists, and the color is the same as it was at the time. The scene illuminated by vivid lighting is reviving wonderfully.
音 声 And the sound that is raising the beauty of such images is intense. It is not the original DAT of the main part press 2CD but the conventional sound board, but still great enough. Although not as natural as the main press 2CD, the clarity and dynamism polished by mastering are completely official. There is no way to be called a “sound board with video”, even if it is a superb view. It would be better to open it up again and watch the documentary video while playing the legendary daimyo board, rather than the uncomfortable feeling here.
Actually, the imagination of the scene is too wonderful. Each move of Sykes who plays that harsh phrase spreads in front of her eyes, and the lighting that creates an ensemble with dramaticism is beautiful. Of course, you can watch Tony Franklin jumping barefoot, which was talked about at the time, and Carmine’s drumming solo singing in a shrill voice. And above all, the impact of three of them being half naked!分 か る Although you can understand the concept of “pirate,” you can still fully enjoy that figure that still remains questionable as to whether it was suitable for profound music.

大 On a live album’s daimyo board, the more wonderful the performance, the more the “other side” will be of concern. What kind of action played the transcendental phrase, how beautiful the lighting was, the costumes, the atmosphere of the venue … This work is a proof footage that shows such “sight” full and plenty.

実際、その光景のイマジネーションが素晴らしすぎる。あの苛烈なフレーズを弾き出すサイクスの一挙手一投足が目の前に広がり、ドラマティシズムを極めたアンサンブルを演出するライティングが美しい。もちろん、当時話題になった裸足でぴょんぴょん跳ねるトニー・フランクリンや甲高い声で歌うカーマインのドラムソロもしっかりと観られる。そして何より、3人が3人とも半裸というインパクト! 「海賊」というコンセプトは分かるものの、重厚華麗な音楽に相応しかったのかいまだ疑問が残るあの姿がたっぷりと楽しめるのです。

あまりにも凄絶で素晴らしかったBLUE MURDER伝説の初来日。どうぞ、大元DATで甦った大名盤と本作でたっぷりとご堪能ください!
