そんなステージを記録した本作は、まさに完全オフィシャル級。“ROCK IN RIO”と言えば超極上プロショットの名産地なわけですが、同時に放送地域や配信方法によってクオリティに差がある事でも知られている。アーティスト／バンドによって状況は様々ながら酷いものになると一時停止してしまったり、数曲カットされていたり……。もちろん、本作にはそんな心配は一切ナシ。コレクター間で話題を呼んでいるベスト・マスターからDVD化した最高峰の１枚なのです。

まさに万全な本作ではありますが、実は完璧とは行きませんでした。とうもモニターにトラブルがあるらしく、肝心要のビリーが精彩を欠いている。開演からしばらくは快調に飛ばしているのですが、中盤「White Wedding」辺りから音程に苦しみだし、「Eyes Without a Face」では遂に入りさえ掴めない事態に。２回もやり直し、必死になって音を聞き取ろうと苦闘しているのです。そんな中でもプロフェッショナルにショウを支え続けているのは、相棒スティーヴ・スティーヴンス。相変わらずの見事なギターが全編で冴え渡り、あの「Top Gun Anthem」も披露。続篇が歴史的大ヒットを記録している2022年だからこそのハイライトにもなっているのです。
