Aerosmith / Saratoga Springs 2001 Soundboard / 2CDR / Shades
Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Saratoga Springs, NY, USA 8th June 2001
AEROSMITH in 2001 sent “JUST PUSH PLAY” to the second place in the US and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. A sound board album that allows you to enjoy the full show is now available.
“June 8, 2001 Saratoga Springs performance” is recorded in this work. It is a matrix album that synchronizes the best audience recording with the sound board recording. The biggest point of this work is the sound quality above all, but first of all, the position of the show. Speaking of the “JUST PUSH PLAY” era, the Japanese performance pro shot “TOKYO STADIUM 2002” is also famous as a standard, so let’s take a look at the tour overview.
●2001

●2002

・April 14: Appearance on MTV Icon
・June 27: Japan #2 (1 performance) ← *TOKYO STADIUM 2002

・ August 13-December 21: North America # 3 (51 performances)
This is the 2001/2002 AEROSMITH. The performance in Japan has been realized twice since 2002, but the Saratoga Springs performance of this work was almost a year before “TOKYO STADIUM 2002”. It was a concert at the very beginning of the tour, the second performance of “North America # 1”.
This work, which conveys such a show, is a masterpiece that perfectly fits the charm of Matrix. Last year, a sound board recording was excavated and became a hot topic among collectors, but the monaural one is a flaw. Although the core was very thick and the sound quality itself was good, it was also a flat plate with no thickness and a strangely dull sound. This work is a super upgrade board that has expanded the possibilities at once by matrixing the superb stereo audience recording on such a monaural sound board.
In fact, the upgrade was amazing, and frankly, it’s a little bit of an excavation official grade. I have been referring to “TOKYO STADIUM 2002” from a while ago, but even if I listen to it side by side with that superb sound board sound, I will not pull a step. If you know the original monaural soundboard, you may think, “Is that an official grade?”, but I understand how you feel. It’s such an upgrade.
The reason for this is the quality of the audience recording, but the more important factor is the skill of the maniac who produced it. Actually, this is a master created by an audio-related professional as a hobby. It was so well done that I wanted fans to listen to it widely, so I provided it. Therefore, it is natural that the finish is different from that of amateurs. Moreover, it is also the original master of this work that has not been circulated anywhere else.
Drawn in such a reborn superb quality is a full show with a delicious “JUST PUSH PLAY” number, which is now valuable. Here again, let’s organize it while comparing it with “TOKYO STADIUM 2002”.

… and it looks like this. Not only new songs such as “Just Push Play”, “Fly Away From Here”, and “Beyond Beautiful”, which were limited at that time, but also “Beyond Beautiful”, which is not expected now, the Beatles’ cover “I’m Down” and “Uncle Salty”, etc., are showing off plenty of various rare songs from each era.
“Anyway, it’s a surprise upgrade album.” To be honest, I could not imagine that the original sound board could be so garbled. It’s amazing how a sound professional can get serious about his hobby. Please enjoy such an official grade matrix album.
*Sound board recording of “Saratoga Springs performance on June 8, 2001”.
