AEROSMITH in the “PUMP” era, which has renewed its heyday by sending out masterpieces that are also called the best masterpieces of the Geffen era. Two new masterpieces will be released at the same time!
 Engraved on this first work is “Utrecht performance on August 26, 1990”. It is a super-superb audience recording when performing in the Netherlands performance of the “MONSTERS OF ROCK Tour” that swept Europe as a festival tour. The simultaneous release “WINTERTHUR MUSIKFESTWOCKEN FESTIVAL 1990 (Zodiac 574)” was an upgrade master of a large standard recording, but this is the first appearance sound source excavated through its own route. It is also an ultra-high-quality live album like a soundboard, raised by the Omoto master.

 これが1989年/1990年の“PUMP Tour”。この中で“MONSTERS OF ROCK Tour”にあたるのはアルバム発売から約1年後の「欧州#2」ですが、全公演ではありませんでした。この「欧州#2」からは『WINTERTHUR MUSIKFESTWOCKEN FESTIVAL 1990』やジミー・ペイジとの共演映像『MARQUEE 1990』も残されましたので、さらに日程をズームしてみましょう。

……と、このようになっています。本作のユトレヒト公演は、WHITESNAKEやPOISON、QUIREBOYSとのMOR公演の準トリ出演でした。そんな現場を真空パックした本作は、衝撃の新発掘マスター。最近、当店ではKISSの関係者流出マスターが大ブレイクしていますが、本作も同じルートからもたらされたもの。しかも大元マスターからダイレクトにデジタル化された銘品なのです。
 しかも、超極上。正真正銘のFMサウンドボードである『WINTERTHUR MUSIKFESTWOCKEN FESTIVAL 1990』と比較すると音色にオーディエンスらしさはありますが、クオリティそのものは負けてないから驚き。各楽器は輪郭もセパレート感も異常で、1音1音に至るまでクッキリはっきり。スティーヴンの歌声も歌詞の一語一語どころか、そこに込められたニュアンスまでしっかり耳元感覚なのです。
 それだけのサウンドが実現した要因は、恐らく環境。現場となった“スタディオン・ハルヘンワールト”は上空に大きく開けたオープン型のサッカー・スタジアムで音を反響ゼロ。もちろんPAから遠ければスカスカになってしまうわけですが、本作にその心配はない。PAから吐き出される出音を距離感なく吸い込んでおり、猛烈ダイレクトな超極上サウンド。あくまで想像ですが、発掘ルートから考えると関係者席で録音されているのかも知れません。
