From 1984, Grace Under Pressure Tour July 15, Canada recorded Montreal performance completely with high quality audience recording. It is a sound source that was previously included in the analog board “Distant Early Warning” with 8 songs, but this one seems to be the main tape of it and it is recorded with very good sound quality. Fortunately, it is Low Gen than the “Seeing Red” circling among traders, it is a title that can be convinced enough to maniac who can be said to be one of the best audiences recording of the 84th Tour. Sound separation / punch is also wonderful, you can enjoy plenty with an ideal sound set unique to this time.

Recordings of this performance have been well known since the 1980s, the first release being the LP boot “Distant Early Warning” (Margory). Although this board was recorded with a very good sound, it was content which frustration accumulates as a single piece and only 8 songs. This work is not only a complete version, but the sound quality is more than boot LP. It is overwhelmed by a very close sound with a punch. It used to be misrepresented as a sound board sound source in the past, but there are also things there. In the same tour, there are many listening things, such as listening to a very different set from the Japanese performance, especially the popular Afterimage in Japan, the presence of the previous jamming performance, and even the Geddy’s MC in French.
1984年、Grace Under Pressure Tourより7月15日、カナダはモントリオール公演を高音質オーディエンス録音で完全収録。かつて8曲入りのアナログ盤「Distant Early Warning」に収録されていた音源ですが、こちらはそれの大元のテープと思われ、大変素晴らしい音質で収録されています。嬉しいことにトレーダー間で出回っている「Seeing Red」よりもLow Genであり、84年ツアーの最優秀オーディエンス録音のひとつと言える、マニアにも十分に納得頂けるタイトルです。音の分離・パンチも素晴らしく、この時期ならではのセットを理想的なサウンドでたっぷりと堪能することができます。

この公演の録音は古くは８０年代から良く知られており、最初のリリースはLPブートの「Distant Early Warning」(Margory)だった。この盤は非常に良い音で収録していたものの、一枚もので僅かに８曲というフラストレーションのたまる内容であった。本作は完全版であるのみならず、音質もブートLP以上だ。パンチのある非常に近い音に圧倒される。かつてはサウンドボード音源と誤表記されることもあったがさもありなんといったところだ。同じツアーなら日本公演とはだいぶ異なるセット、特に日本で人気のAfterimage 入りである点や、その前のジャム演奏がある点、更にはGeddyのフランス語によるMCが聴けるなど、聴きどころも多い。
