野暮なツッコミはさておき、次々と流れる映像は本当に感動的。アイリッシュトラッドをバックにエメラルドの故郷を巡るゲイリー、ニール・カーターに曲を教えるリハーサル、ゲイリーが「幼少の頃にCREAMやTHE WHOを観に来たんだ」と語りつつ、ショウの準備を進めるアルサーホールの風景。そのすべてが、普通のライヴ映像作品とはひと味もふた味も違うのです。そんな中で流れる「Out In The Fields」のPV。何十回見て、何百回聴いたか分からない超名曲ですが、本作で観るのが一番感動的。アルバム「RUN FOR COVER」ではなく、エメラルドの風景溢れる本作こそがあるべき場所なんだ、と強く強く実感します。
そして、本編のライヴがまた凄い。故郷でいつも以上に燃え上がるゲイリーもさることながら、ニール・カーター＆ボブ・デイズリーとの“黄金トライアングル”が揃って、わずか２ー５公演目というフレッシュなアンサンブルが眩しい！　本番通りの一気貫通の映像ではなく、間にイメージ映像やインタビューが挟まるタイプ（ゲイリーの父親が若い！）で、普通なら「余計なことすんな！」と小言のひとつも言いたくなるところですが、その映像が極めてセンス良い。歌詞やパフォーマンスと同等なほど、“ゲイリーの想い”に焦点が当てられていて、アイルランドの子ども達や街並みのイマジネーションも深く深く曲を掘り下げてくれる。１曲１曲が深く、噛みしめるように見つめられる映像なのです。
見所だらけの本作でも最大のハイライトは、盟友フィル・ライノットとの共演「Parisienne Walkways」！　ここでも、曲前のインタビューが深い。THIN LIZZYのライヴ映像を交えながら、長年の紆余曲折を重ねた２人が楽屋で軽口を叩きながら談笑し、２人だけのセッション……。この約１年後に死別する運命など知るよしもなく、「いつもと変わらないよ。良い音楽を演って楽しむだけさ」と語るシーンには胸が詰まります。
