Bono and The Edge visited the war-torn Kieu (Kyiv) and gave a consolation live at the subway station. Introducing the finest footage that goes beyond the boundaries of the music scene and allows you to witness a special performance with a hot look all over the world.
A regular release version of the same title will be released this week, but the content is too important for the era of “2022”. We have decided to release it as a gift title at the same time so that as many people as possible can touch it.

This work was shot at “May 8, 2022 Fresschatik Station”. That multi-camera pro shot. Ukraine has succeeded in defending the capital, Kyiv, and is now a place visited by dignitaries from all over the world. Bono and The Edge will also deliver music to the site in response to President Zelensky’s call. The site chosen was the Kyiv subway station, which was also used as an air raid shelter.
The pattern was sent as global news rather than a music program. This work is a definitive board that collects 10 types of such professional shot images over a period of about 68 minutes. The contents are roughly divided into three sections, so let’s introduce each one individually.

● Live special feature (about 42 minutes)
First of all, a special feature of the live in the station yard, which is the main part of this work. It was broadcast on a local TV in Ukraine, and the content is dedicated to music. You can enjoy it as a normal live multi-camera pro shot. However, there is a high possibility that the song order and contents are not the same as the actual site. Currently, the information is still confusing, so I can’t say for sure, but it seems that nine songs were played on the day. Eight songs other than “Pride (In the Name of Love)” were broadcast, and this work follows that.
The performance is a style with one acoustic guitar of The Edge as the background, and Bono sings the famous songs of the past. The acoustic version of “With or Without You” was unveiled for the first time on this day, and “Walk On” is sung with the lyrics of a special edition (described later) wishing for solidarity with Ukraine.
The highlight of that is the last “Stand by Me”. Needless to say, it’s a cover of Ben E. King’s masterpiece, but here the lyrics are changed from “stand by me” to “stand by Ukraine”. And more than that is guest co-starring. Ukrainian soldiers will appear and duet with Bono. And this soldier is messed up. Aside from Bono, it has become the leading role. That should be it, in fact, the main business of this soldier is a musician. He is the singer of Ukrainian rock band ANTYTILA, Taras Toporia.
Taras also interacted with Ed Sheeran, and the co-starring version of “2step” became a hot topic worldwide. In the first place, ANTYTILA itself seems to be a national band of Ukraine, and such local heroes stand side by side with U2 in the world. For us, the reality of a stupid singer fighting in military uniform is frightening, and for the local people, it is a dream co-star that encourages us to connect with the world.

● Special performance of “Walk On” (about 4 minutes)
Next up is a live clip of “Walk On”. This is the version released on April 9th ​​to sue the regiment to Ukraine. The lyrics have been changed by the acoustic performance by Bono and The Edge as well as the main part live.

● News / Documentary (8 types, about 22 minutes)
The last section is TV news and documentary footage telling Bono & The Edge’s visit. Five types of news programs from each country covering the subway live itself and three types of documentaries that capture two people inspecting the cityscape destroyed by the Russian army are recorded.
Each is valuable, but the one that is especially delicious is “The Guradian”. With Japanese subtitles, you can vividly understand the content of the speech that Bono spoke during the live with subtitles after Japan.

Last year, a large number of unattended live performances were delivered to withstand the new Korona-ka, but in 2022 the invasion of Ukraine was replaced by a symbol of the times. This work is simply an excellent live pro shot, but it is also the first step in the reaction of the music scene in the era of 2022. In 2022, the proposition “Can music change the world?”, Which should have been completely in the past, has been revived. This work is one that everyone who lives in this moment and continues to love music should experience. Please chew it carefully.

★ A gift release of the acoustic live video that was held inside the Kyiv subway station. It is a definitive board that includes a full recording of local TV specials, as well as related videos such as special live PV of “Walk On” and news / documentaries of each country.

戦禍のキーウ（キエフ）を訪れ、地下鉄の駅構内で慰問ライヴを行ったボノとジ・エッジ。音楽シーンの枠を超え、全世界が熱い眼差しを送った特別パフォーマンスを目撃できる極上映像が登場です。
今週は同タイトルの通常リリース版も登場しますが、その内容は「2022年」という時代にとってあまりにも重要。１人でも多くの方に触れていただきたく、ギフト・タイトルとしても同時リリースする事に致しました。

そんな本作が撮影されたのは「2022年５月８日フレシチャーティク駅」。そのマルチカメラ・プロショットです。ウクライナは首都キーウの防衛に成功し、現在では世界各国の要人がこぞって訪れる場所となりました。ボノとジ・エッジもゼレンスキー大統領の呼びかけに応えて現地に音楽を届けることとなった。その現場として選ばれたのが防空壕としても使用されていたキーウ地下鉄の駅構内なのです。
その模様は音楽番組と言うより、世界的なニュースとして発信。本作は、そんなプロショット映像を10種類・約68分に渡って集成した決定盤なのです。その内容は大きく３つのセクションに分けられますので、それぞれ個別にご紹介していきましょう。

●ライヴ特集（約42分）
まず登場するのは、本作のメインとなる駅構内ライヴの特集。ウクライナの現地TV放送されたもので、ひたすら音楽に特化した内容。普通にライヴのマルチカメラ・プロショットとして楽しめるものです。ただし、曲順・内容は現場通りではない可能性が高い。現在はまだ情報が錯綜している状態なので断言はできないものの、どうも当日は９曲が演奏された模様。放送されたのは、その中から「Pride (In the Name of Love)」以外の８曲であり、本作もそれに準じています。
パフォーマンスはジ・エッジのアコギ１本をバックにしたスタイルで、ボノが歴代の名曲群を熱唱。「With or Without You」はこの日初めてアコースティック・バージョンが披露され、「Walk On」ではウクライナへの連帯を願う特別版（後述）の歌詞で歌われています。
そんな中で一番の見どころはラストの「Stand by Me」。言わずもがなのベン・E・キングの名曲カバーなわけですが、ここでは歌詞を「stand by me」から「stand by Ukraine」に変えて歌っています。そして、それ以上なのがゲスト共演。ウクライナ軍の兵士が登場し、ボノとデュエットするのです。そして、この兵士がメチャクチャ巧い。ボノを差し置いて主役と化しているのです。それもそのはず、実はこの兵士の本業はミュージシャン。ウクライナのロックバンドANTYTILAのシンガー、タラス・トポリアです。
タラスはエド・シーランとも交流があり、共演バージョンの「2step」が世界的に話題ともなりました。そもそもANTYTILA自体がウクライナの国民的バンドらしく、そんな地元の英雄が世界のU2と並び立っている。私たちにとってはバカ巧なシンガーが軍服で戦っている現実感に戦慄を覚えますし、現地の人々にとっては世界との繋がりに勇気づけられる夢の大共演なのです。

●「Walk On」の特別パフォーマンス（約４分）
続いて登場するのは、「Walk On」の生演奏クリップです。これはウクライナへの連隊を訴えるために４月９日に公開されたバージョン。本編ライヴと同じくボノとジ・エッジによるアコースティック演奏で、歌詞も変えられています。

●ニュース／ドキュメンタリー（８種・約22分）
最後のセクションは、ボノ＆ジ・エッジの訪問を伝えるTVニュースやドキュメンタリー映像です。地下鉄ライヴ自体を報道する各国ニュース番組が５種、ロシア軍によって破壊された街並みを視察する２人を捉えたドキュメンタリーが３種収録されています。
それぞれに貴重ですが、特に美味しいのが“The Guradian”。日本語字幕が付いており、ライヴ中にボノが話したスピーチ内容も日本後字幕でビビッドに理解できます。

昨年は新型コロナ禍を耐えるための無観客ライヴが多数配信されましたが、2022年はウクライナ侵攻が時代の象徴にとって変わられました。本作はシンプルに優れたライヴ・プロショットでもありますが、それ以上に2022年という時代に音楽シーンが反応した第一歩でもあるのです。すっかり過去になっていたはずの「音楽は世界を変えられるのか？」という命題がリアルに甦ってしまった2022年。本作は、今この瞬間を生き、音楽を愛し続けるすべての人が体験すべき１枚。どうぞ、じっくりと噛みしめてください。
