In 1998, STRATOVARIUS returned to Japan after completing the masterpieces “VISIONS” and “DESTINY”. An original recording that allows you to experience the scene is here.
“December 8, 1998 Club Quattro performance” is imbued in this work. It is a very thick audience recording that vacuum packed the whole story. With the participation of Jens Johansson / Jörg Michael, the “Golden Five” came to Japan in 1996, 1998, 2000, and 2003. This work is the second record. First of all, let’s look back on the schedule of coming to Japan at that time and check the position of the show.

A total of 4 performances. This week, ANGRA’s same title “NAGOYA 1998 DAT MASTER (Shades 1683)” will be released at the same time, but in fact, both men’s schedules are covered. This work was also the day after the ANGRA edition (I think it would have become a legend in the history of Melopawa if you made it a coupling tour for both men).
In any case, this work recorded at such a site is exactly the best sound with “super”. Since it is a DAT master excavated from the same route as the ANGRA edition, there is no doubt that it is an audience recording, but the sound that flows out says, “But you can hear it on the sound board?” Anyway, the core is very thick and close contact. There is no sense of distance at all, and even if you listen carefully with headphones, you can not perceive the hall noise component. If you say it’s a club-scale closed room feeling, it may be true, but if anything, it’s better to call it a synchronized feeling and immersive feeling like there’s a stage in your head.
