“14 On Fire Tour In Abu Dhabi -Stereo IEM Matrix Master-” (2CD) [EVSD-677/678]

来日ツアーに先駆けておこなわれた14 ON FIREツアーのキックオフ・ステージ。全てはここから始まりました。ボックス・セットの核となる”新時代のIEMマトリクス音源”、前人未到の領域であるこの音源を完璧に作り上げる上で、事前に１公演のテスト・レコーディングがどうしても必要であり、その意味で外すことが出来ない公演ということで、録音班が空路アブダビまで赴きました。結果、出来上がったこのIEMマトリクス音源、日本公演のパイロット版というべき仕上がりとなっています。複数のIEMソース群と会場ファイアピット最前列で録音されたAUDソース（先行発売の「14 On Fire Tour In Abu Dhabi」で使用されているマスターです）を巧みにステレオ・ミックスすることにより、左チャンネルにロニー、センターにダリル、右チャンネルにキース、奥にチャーリー＆チャックという絶妙の定位でバンドの演奏をステレオ再現しています。持ち込み可能な機材量の限界から、ミックのIEMのみが補完することが出来なかったため、ややヴォーカルが抜け気味の音像となっていますが、かえって会場最前列ど真ん中でライブを鑑賞している錯覚に陥るようなサウンド・バランスともいえます。
