Two consecutive performances of Omagari “Stargazer” and “A Light In The Black” that did not come true in Japan. The masterpiece album where you can experience the supreme highlights of British hard rock has been brushed up with “GRAF ZEPPELIN” mastering. It is a release decision with permanent preservation press 2CD.
The daimyo board “RISING”, which was also the pinnacle of British hard rock. Speaking of the highlights, it was the two big songs “Stargazer” and “A Light In The Black” that filled the B side. Naturally, these two major songs were played live, but they were too long, too high tension and too dramatic. Performing continuously like the album would consume a lot of physical strength and energy, and it was impossible to continue on a tour that repeats moving to the stage every night. In particular, the burden on Cozy Powell is large, raising the sound “I can not continue like this!”, Dismantling the two major songs in the middle of the tour. Playing one or both in one night became spread out throughout the set.
Of course, these two major songs should be performed continuously, and experiencing them live is the dream of all British hard rock fans. This work is the highest peak of the live album where you can enjoy such continuous performances. It is a superb audience recording of “Burbank performance on August 3, 1976”. How long was it until the supreme continuous performance was realized? Let’s look back at the schedule at that time and check the position of the show.

《February 1977: Dismissal of Jimmy Bain》
This is RAINBOW in 1975/1976. It was until “North America # 2” that two major songs were played continuously. The Burbank performance of this work was the 29th concert in the final stage.
“For our customers, this show will be familiar.” An original recording brought by its own route was discovered, and it was acclaimed as “the highest peak of the 1976 North American tour” due to its good sound / splendid performance. This work is the latest version of the name recording, and it is an upgrade board that updates the highest peak. The key to upgrading is detailed mastering by “GRAF ZEPPELIN”. Speaking of “GRAF ZEPPELIN”, there used to be a lot of vintage recordings of PINK FLOYD and general series, but recently they have also started working on HR / HM series, and their work precision that can be said to be paranoid seems to be widely known. has become Pitch/phase correction that does not allow deviations of 1/1000th of a second, balance adjustment after band analysis, and noise processing that stops at the last minute so that it does not affect the performance sound, etc. We have revived many famous recordings with a method that faithfully reproduces the sound output of the site to the maximum.
This work also incorporates the best of the “GRAF ZEPPELIN” method, but the most effective is the removal of reverb. Burbank recording is an original excavation by its own route. Therefore, all the versions that are out in the world are derived from our store, but the person who provided the original cassette modified the sound and added reverb processing to the left channel. That said, the process isn’t all that mysterious. It was a trend at the time of the excavation, and it was also a common process to create an expanse in monaural recordings.
However, when it comes to “Is this the correct sound of the scene?”, it cannot be said. Therefore, in this work, reverb processing is removed by returning to monaural. Without processing the performance sound, it was restored to the recorded sound. Moreover, this made the new performances even more powerful and dense. It is the true value of “GRAF ZEPPELIN” mastering, which can be said to be “first on-site sound output”.
The ultra-realistic experience of “Stargazer” and “A Light In The Black” drawn with such an upgraded sound is overwhelming. Both songs were expanded more than the studio version and seamlessly connected, and even Tony Karay’s keyboard solo was added at the beginning. It has been reborn as a dramatic super-large song with a total length of 23 minutes and 40 seconds. Of course, the key point is Cozy himself, and even with the youth of 28 years old, he is performing a big convincing performance that he could not continue every night.
The continuous performance of the two major songs “Stargazer” and “A Light In The Black” is not simply listening to popular songs in quick succession. It functions as one suite while drawing different contrasts of colors. It’s not “1 + 1 = 2”, it’s a super big song worth 10 or 100.
I wanted to experience this super-large song in Japan as well… This work is a new masterpiece that heals such dryness and lets you experience the historical site with ultra-realistic sound. Please be overwhelmed to your heart’s content with the permanent preservation press 2CD.
