impact! The whole picture is finally revealed! A jazz session led by Prince and Eric Reese, it has become an (officially unreleased) album called The Flesh, which has also been released at our shop.

On the other hand, the session of The Flesh was known including the date and the performance song, but although some sound sources were leaked, it was far from being fully elucidated. But this time the whole picture leaked! Digital recording from the original master, sound quality is the highest quality line sound! The thrilling, funky and slightly esoteric sound construction that embodies the jazz essence of Miles Davis that Prince got from Eric Reese with a genius interpretation is sure to be cool if you listen to it! Sheila E, who can be said to be Prince’s musical girlfriend, is based on Levi who supported Prince of the past who will join instead of Brownmark, and of course Eric Leeds is playing on the saxophone and flute. Wendy and Lisa also participated from the revolution, and of course there was a session that started with Prince, but Eric later puts it on the guitar, the keyboard, the drums, and the backing made by Prince in advance. There is also. Later The Question Of U’s jazzy instrumental 12 Keys, U Got Shake Something’s funky part of Norinori’s Damn, and Junk Music’s 63 minutes long, why is it so exciting? I’m surprised, but I’m also surprised that it is edited by Eric and transformed into a 19-minute song. If you listen to other things, you will be disappointed with the interpretation of a young genius who has just learned about Miles, the wonderful world of Prince’s jazz (he borrowed a record from Eric and listened to it).

And there are more highlights. From the end of 1985 to the summer of 1986, such a song was exchanged between two geniuses. From the remarks of Eric Reese so far, it is said that there will be no unreleased songs other than Can I Play With U in the studio song co-starring Miles and Prince, but there is certainly no other unreleased song. However, 4 types of Can I Play With U versions are included! The shocking thing is that there is more input and vocal work of Prince, and there is also a version that seems to have been sublimated to the completed form with the addition of the Miles camp. It is said that the Can I Play With U session was made by exchanging recording masters, but you can see from these four songs that Prince and Miles made various ideas. This is definitely a historical excavation.

衝撃！ついに全貌が明らかになりました！プリンスとエリック・リーズが中心となって行われたジャズ・セッション、それはThe Fleshという（オフィシャル未発表）アルバムとなり、当店でもリリースされています。

 

一方そのThe Fleshのセッションは日付、演奏曲を含め判明しておりましたが、幾つかの音源がリークしていたものの、全容解明には程遠い状態でした。しかし今回その全貌がなんとリークしたのです！オリジナルのマスターからのデジタル録音、音質は最高級のライン・サウンド！プリンスがエリック・リーズから得たマイルス・デイビスのジャズ・エッセンスを天才的な解釈で具現化したスリリングでファンキーでやや難解なサウンド構築は、聴いてもらえば卒倒間違いなしのかっこ良さ！ブラウンマークに変わって加入することになる往年のプリンスを支えたリーヴァイがベース、そしてプリンスの音楽的彼女と言えるシーラE、もちろんエリック・リーズが前面に立ってサックスにフルートにと吹いていますが、レヴォルーションからウェンディとリサも参加していたり、プリンスがもちろん皆でせーので始めたセッションもあるのですが、ギターにキーボードにドラムにとあらかじめプリンスによって作られたバッキングにエリックが後から入れる、というのもあります。後のThe Question Of Uのジャジーなインスト12 Keys、U Got Shake Somethingのファンキーな部分を抽出したかのようなノリノリのDamn、そしてJunk Musicは63分もの長さとなる何でこんなにテンションが続けられるんだ、と驚きですが、それがエリックにエディットされて19分の楽曲に変貌するのも驚きです。他にも聴けばなんて素敵なプリンスのジャズ世界、これぞマイルスを知って間もない（エリックからレコードを借りて聴き捲くったそうです）若き天才解釈に脱帽となることでしょう。

そして更に目玉があります。85年末から86年の夏にかけて、こんな曲が二人の天才の間でやり取りされていました。今までのエリック・リーズの発言等からマイルスとプリンスの共演スタジオ曲はCan I Play With U以外には未発表曲はないだろう、というのがありますが、確かに別の未発表曲はありませんでしたが、Can I Play With Uのバージョンをなんと4種収録！衝撃なのはプリンスの更なるインプットやボーカルワークがあるもの、そしてマイルス陣営が追加して完成形にまで昇華したと思われるバージョンもあります。Can I Play With Uのセッションは録音マスターを交換しあって作られたとされていますが、プリンスもマイルスも色々アイデアを出して作っていた、というのがこの4曲でわかります。これも歴史的な発掘と間違いなく言えます。
