The latest in the popular Ultimate Archive series! Release 10 titles at once! Paul McCartney’s first solo album, released in 1970. Access to Apple Records tapes was essentially prohibited, so he was forced to keep any recordings secret. So he hired a mic, a Studer 4-track machine, and recorded himself completely at home, with no technicians or musicians. Work began in late December 1969, after which he booked time at Morgan Studios in Willesden (February 10-12, 1970) as Billy Martin (base umpire and later manager of the New York Yankees), when Ringo After leaving the EMI building in Abbey Road, we recorded and mixed there. With the help of Lennon, Klein tried to postpone the release of Paul’s solo album at least twice, but in the end it was released on April 17, 1970, almost as planned. . The main tk-01 to tk-14 use down-sampled archived high-resolution sound sources. The Archive version of “Kreen-Akrore” sounds like noise reduction is applied, but the DCC version sounds more natural. Therefore, the DCC version is included here. tk-15 ~ tk-17 A demo that seems to have been recorded in July 1971 at the first rehearsal with the band that would soon be called Wings. tk-18 – Maybe I’m Amazed – One Hand Clapping Version, recorded in August 1974 and released June 13, 2011 via the McCartney – Paul McCartney Archive Collection. tk-19~tk-21 – live version with Wings, recorded December 17, 1979 at the Apollo Theater in Glasgow and released via the McCartney – Paul McCartney Archive Collection. tk-22 – Suicide – Full version of the 8 second snippet used on the album. Recorded February 21, 1970 at EMI Studios, Abbey Road. tk-23 – Don’t Cry Baby – Alternate take of “Oo You” recorded in December 1969 for the McCartney -Paul McCartney Archive Collection. tk-24- Maybe I’m Amazed – Instrumental version, probably based on a track obtained at Paul McCartney’s New Rood Studios in 2012. 25 – Woman Kind – Contains previously unreleased demos.
