■ June 7, 1997 TIBETAN FREEDOM CONCERT
The audience sound source existed in the existing board, but this time it is a complete recording with the sound board sound source that will be the first appearance. As the title suggests, on the event stage, despite the huge stadium, he is performing five songs by playing electric guitar instead of a band. There are many acoustic guitar narrations in Noel’s career, but the electric narrations were on the radio appearance in 1998 (included in the Bayswater label “LAST NIGHT IN A JUDO ARENA”) and the 10th anniversary (Bayswater label “10 YEARS OF NOISE AND CONFUSION”). (Recorded) Noel Corner, one song “Whatever”, and this Tibetan Freedom Concert only. The Beatles’ “Helter Skelter” cover has been played regularly for a while since December 1999, but it has never been played on the BE HERE NOW tour, and this is the premiere. Noel is a tremendous performance that overwhelms the audience by confronting the large crowd that fills the stadium, which probably exceeds tens of thousands.

■ June 14, 1997 KROQ WEENIE ROAST AND LUAU
This is also the first appearance of the music festival KROQ Weenie Roast, which has been held in California every year since 1993. Although not held in 2020 and 2021 due to the Corona Severe, it is still an important event in warm California as a traditional music festival. Oasis appeared in 1997, the fifth time, and it should be noted that one of the representative songs “Wanderwall” that has been / will be played countless times throughout the career of Oasis and after the dissolution. , It is the point that it is the premiere as a band form. Liam’s vocals are deeply echoed, and it is impressive that the singing is quite polite as it is the premiere.

■ June 10, 1997 HOWARD STERN SHOW
The sound source of the TV show in which Noel appeared alone. He plays two songs by acoustic guitar. This is the period between the Tibetan Freedom Concert mentioned above and KROQ WEENIE ROAST.

■ May 17, 1997 PAUL WELLER CONCERT
Noel performed as a solo guest on Paul Weller’s stage, and recorded two songs played at that time. This is a very important performance, although it is a guest performance and only two songs. First of all, “Half The World Away”, which has become a staple in Oasis’s later live performances and Noel’s solo, is the premiere of this time. Surprisingly, the premiere was not an oasis, but a guest performance on Noel’s solo stage. Another thing to note is that Noel is also playing “Shakermaker” in Electric Ver. I think this is the only other example that was played in the same form at ORBIT ROOM on March 20, 1995.

The above four concerts are recorded in this work. After finishing the MORNING GLORY TOUR and moving to the next BE HERE NOW TOUR, these were the stages that took place during that transitional period, and would have had a warm-up meaning to maintain the band’s skill. The fact that there are many premiere songs confirms that. All of them are sound sources that have a lot to listen to, including irregular set lists that are different from regular tours. ■1997年6月7日 TIBETAN FREEDOM CONCERT
オーディエンス音源は既発盤で存在したが、今回は初登場となるサウンドボード音源で完全収録である。タイトル通りイベント・ステージで、巨大なスタジアムにも関わらずバンドではなく、エレキ・ギターによる弾き語りで5曲を披露している。ノエルのキャリアにおいてアコギによる弾き語りは数多くあるが、エレキによる弾き語りは1998年のラジオ出演時（Bayswaterレーベル『LAST NIGHT IN A JUDO ARENA』収録）と、10周年（Bayswaterレーベル『10 YEARS OF NOISE AND CONFUSION』収録）のノエル・コーナーにおいて「Whatever」1曲、そして、このチベット・フリーダム・コンサートのみである。ビートルズの「Helter Skelter」のカバーは、1999年12月から一時期レギュラーで演奏されていたが、BE HERE NOW ツアーでは一度も演奏されず、この時が初演となる。おそらく数万人を超えるであろうスタジアムを埋め尽くす大観衆に対し、ノエルは一人で対峙し聴衆を圧倒する凄まじい演奏である。

■1997年6月14日KROQ WEENIE ROAST AND LUAU
こちらも初登場となる、1993年より毎年カリフォルニアで行なわれている音楽フェスKROQ Weenie Roastを収録している。コロナ禍により2020年と2021年は開催されなかったが、伝統ある音楽フェスとして現在も温暖なカリフォルニアの重要なイベントとなっている。オアシスは5回目に当たる1997年に出演しており、注目すべきは、この後オアシスのキャリアを通して、また解散後にも数えきれないくらい演奏された/されるであろう代表曲のひとつ「Wanderwall」の、バンド形態として初演である点である。リアムのボーカルには深いエコーがかけられ、初演という事もありかなり丁寧な歌唱なのが印象的である。

■1997年6月10日 HOWARD STERN SHOW
ノエルが単独で出演したテレビ・ショウの音源。アコギにより2曲を演奏している。前掲のチベット・フリーダム・コンサートとKROQ WEENIE ROASTの合間の時期に当たる。

■1997年5月17日 PAUL WELLER CONCERT
ポール・ウェラーのステージにノエルが単独で客演し、その時に演奏した2曲を収録している。客演でかつ、わずか2曲ながら、これは非常に重要な演奏である。まずオアシス晩年のライヴやノエルのソロでは定番となっている「Half The World Away」は、この時が初演である点である。意外や初演がオアシスとしでてはなく、客演によるノエル単独でのステージにおいてであった。そしてもうひとつ着目すべきはノエルがエレクトリックVer.で「Shakermaker」も演奏している点である。これは他には1995年3月20日ORBIT ROOMで同様の形態で演奏されたくらいしか例がないのではないだろうか。

本作には以上4つのコンサートが収録されている。MORNING GLORY TOURを終え、次なるBE HERE NOW TOURに移行する、これらはその過渡期に行なわれたステージであり、バンドの技量を維持するためのウォーム・アップ的な意味合いもあったであろう。初演曲が多いのもそれを裏付けている。通常のツアーとは異なるイレギュラーなセットリストも含め、いずれも聴きどころが多い音源である。美しいピクチャー・ディスク仕様の永久保存がっちりプレス盤。
