Like many British bands, Oasis was born as a local band in Manchester, first gaining popularity in the UK, and then becoming bigger in the United States, the home of entertainment. And the first live in the United States is the performance of the nightclub “Wetlands Preserve” in New York recorded in this work.

Although the single had been released at this point, the first album was still unreleased, and the oasis is just one unknown band for the United States. Looking at the poster of the day on the back jacket, there is a description that “the first concert from the UK to the United States”, and the treatment is very small. The other bands listed were all unknown bands at the time and now, and the oasis was just one of them.

Bournehead later said, “This was the band’s first trip to the United States. None of the members in New York had been there. The first live was at the Wetlands Preserve event stage, where they first appeared in the United States. That’s why everyone was drunk with Beron Beron. ” At the time of this first trip to the United States, he only shot the live once recorded in this work and the promo film of “Live Forever”.

Oasis will release its first album and touring the United States in earnest in September. The tour also includes a live performance at WETLANDS PRESERVE on October 29, 1994, and has been made into a CD in the past. It’s easy to get confused because it’s the same venue in 1994, but this work was the only live performance on July 21, 1994, before the release of the debut album, three months before that. This is the first sound board sound source to be released on CD. And the intro and outro of the venue before and after the live that are not recorded in the sound board sound source are complemented by the audience sound source of the day, and the first live in the United States of Oasis is completely recorded. 多くの英国のバンドがそうであるように、オアシスもマンチェスターのローカル・バンドとして誕生し、まず最初に英国での人気を固め、その後エンターテイメントの本場アメリカという順にビッグになっていった。そしてアメリカでの初ライブが、本作に収録されたニューヨークにあるナイトクラブ「ウェットランズ・プリザーブ」公演である。

この時点でシングルはリリースされていたものの、ファースト・アルバムも未発表の段階であり、アメリカにとってオアシスは数ある無名のバンドに過ぎない。裏ジャケットにある当日のポスターを見ると「英国からアメリカ初コンサート」との記述があり、扱いは非常に小さい。掲載されている他のバンドは当時も現在も無名なバンドばかりであり、オアシスもその中のひとつに過ぎなかったのである。

ボーンヘッドは後年「この時がバンドの初渡米だった。ニューヨークなんかメンバーの誰も行った事がなかった。初めてライブをしたのはウェットランズ・プリザーブのイベント・ステージで、アメリカでの初お目見えというわけだ。みんなベロンベロンに酔っぱらっていたよ」と回想している。この初渡米時は、本作に収録のライブ1度と「Live Forever」のプロモ・フィルムを撮影したのみである。

オアシスがファースト・アルバムをリリースし、本格的に全米ツアーを行なうのは9月である。そのツアーでは、1994年10月29日にWETLANDS PRESERVEでのライブも含まれており、過去にCD化もされている。同じ1994年の同じ会場なので混同しがちであるが、本作は、それに先立つ3か月前、デビュー・アルバムがリリース前の、1994年7月21日アメリカ初渡米時に唯一行なったライブであり、初CD化となるサウンドボード音源である。そしてサウンドボード音源に未収録のライブ前後の会場のイントロとアウトロは当日のオーディエンス音源で補完されており、オアシスのアメリカ初ライブを余すところなく完全収録している。美しいピクチャー・ディスク仕様の永久保存がっちりプレス盤。
