The sound source of the legendary Carnegie Hall performance, which has been handed down as one of the best performances in the history of Led Zeppelin, has finally been unearthed. Indispensable for Zeppelin’s famous performance is John Bonham, also known as Bonzo, who is the backbone of the band. This performance, which is also known that Bonzo himself later said that it was one of the best performances. At that time, it was extremely rare for rock bands to perform live at Carnegie Hall, and the precedent was only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Speaking of Carnegie Hall, the stage where Bonzo’s two big drummers, Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich, fought a fierce battle. It goes without saying how much Carnegie Hall was a favorite stage for Bonham. You can see how long the fans have been waiting for the sound source to be discovered in this preamble. It is an amazing excavation sound source.
The content of the performance is already well known to fans, so when you touch the content of the sound source, it is a fairly good audience recording. The vocals of the plant are a little buried, but Page’s guitar and Bonzo’s drums are recorded to the fullest. An original remastered version by an overseas enthusiast was also released at the time of this excavation, but there is a level where high is painful to the ear due to excessive equalizing. This item uses the master sound source and has been remastered by the label. The connection of blanks between songs is much smoother and more comfortable than the one by mania, and the sound quality is more natural than the remastering by mania. It is a must-have item that has been carefully commercialized with natural and smooth editing, with respect for this precious original sound source.
