This is the 1982/1983 KISS. Since the previous “UNMASKED Tour 1980” was centered on Europe / Oceania, it was the first full-scale US tour in three years since “DYNASTY Tour 1979”. The Rockford performance of this work was excavated from the same “North America # 1a” as the sister work “SIOUX CITY 1982 SOUNDBOARD (Zodiac 529)”. Let’s zoom in on the schedule.

In this way, this work is the third performance of the “CREATURES OF THE NIGHT Tour”. It is the day after “SIOUX CITY 1982 SOUNDBOARD”, and it is a soundboard album that will be a sister work. Moreover, it is suitable to call not only the position but also the sound as a sister. It is clearly recorded directly from the mix house, and there is no official live work or FM broadcast treatment. The unprocessed performance sound for spitting out from the on-site PA flows out with the core exposed, and it is furiously vivid. There is no completion or production that reproduces the concert scene, but it is not a drawback even if it is a good point for a soundboard maniac who is worn out. The strong sense of synchronization that makes the skull look like an amplifier is a real thrill that can never be experienced even in the official work, and this work is a transcendental sound board that corresponds to the highest quality.
Such quality is also very similar to “SIOUX CITY 1982 SOUNDBOARD”, but there is one big difference. It is “complementary with audience recording”. Currently, it is a 100% pure sound board that is shaking collectors all over the world, but there is a cut like AB face inversion in part, probably because the source is a 90-minute tape, and the last two songs “Rock And Roll All Nite” and “Detroit rock City” were missing recordings. In this work, the missing part is patched with the finest audience recording “NEW YEARS EVE (Shades 857)”. It is finished as a full live album where you can fully experience the day. As a matter of fact, there was a similar cut in the sister work “SIOUX CITY 1982 SOUNDBOARD”, but unfortunately the quality was not enough to connect the audience recording on the day. In that respect, “NEW YEARS EVE” is an on-name recording that is called “just like a sound board”, so we were able to realize the complete form of the show.
