KISS has restarted the “End of the Road World Tour” that had been postponed due to the influence of the new Corona Pandemic, and held the 10th “THE KISS KRUISE”. The gift release decision is a spectacular video that allows you to witness the latest stage.
This work was recorded on “November 1, 2021”. This is an audience shot taken in the first act of the cruise event “THE KISS KRUISE”. Speaking of recent KISS, we are familiar with the Guinness concert “2020 GOODBYE: LIVE FROM ATLANTIS, DUBAI” held on New Year’s Eve in 2020. This is the 2021/2022 schedule that has been announced so far. Initially, the European leg and South American leg of the “End of the Road World Tour” were scheduled to be held later this year, but it was decided to postpone it again to 2022 because the cross-border tour is still difficult. Only the “North America” ​​leg and “THE KISS KRUISE” were realized. This work is a video work that can be present at the scene of “THE KISS KRUISE”.
The quality is a superb view with “super”. It was a gift release because the audio may be slightly cracked, but the video is completely press grade. While catching from the left side of the stage, the sight of passing over the heads of the spectators and looking directly at the stage is a superb view. And what is wonderful is “narrowness”. The onboard stage, where space is limited, cannot be expected to be a club-scale and flashy gimmick, but instead, each one is quite large even at an angle where you can see four people. Furthermore, since the screen image of professional shooting is also reflected, the screen becomes “covered with KISS” without zooming. そんな本作が記録されたのは「2021年11月１日」。船上クルーズ・イベント“THE KISS KRUISE”の一幕で撮影されたオーディエンス・ショットです。最近のKISSと言えば、当店では2020年の大晦日に行われたギネス・コンサート『2020 GOODBYE: LIVE FROM ATLANTIS, DUBAI』がお馴染み。まずは、その後の歩みを整理してショウのポジションを確かめてみましょう。

これが現在までに公表されている2021年／2022年のスケジュール。当初は今年中に“End of the Road World Tour”のヨーロッパレッグや南米レッグも行われる予定でしたが、まだ国境を跨ぐツアーは難しいのか2022年へ再延期が決定。実現したのは「北米」レッグと“THE KISS KRUISE”だけでした。本作は、その“THE KISS KRUISE”の現場に居合わせられる映像作品なのです。
そのクオリティは「超」付きの絶景。音声がわずかに割れ気味になる事もあるのでギフト・リリースとなりましたが、映像は完全プレス級。ステージやや左側から捉えつつ、観客達の頭上越しを素通りしてステージを直視する光景は絶景そのもの。そして素晴らしいのは「狭さ」。スペースに限界のある船内ステージはクラブ規模でド派手な仕掛けは期待できないのですが、その代わり４人を一望できるアングルでも１人ひとりがかなり大きい。さらにプロ撮影のスクリーン映像まで映り込むのですから、ズームなどしなくても画面中が「KISSまみれ」になる。普段の巨大ステージを見慣れている目には、ほとんどカバーバンドのようにさえ見えてしまうほどの密室感がたまらない。特にギネス認定された世界一のショウ『2000 GOODBYE』とは真逆と言っても良いでしょう。
そして、クオリティだけでなくショウ内容も『2020 GOODBYE』とはかなり違う。ここでセットも比較しながら整理しておきましょう。

……と、このようになっています。幅広いセレクトの中でも話題となっているのが「Take It Off」「Makin’ Love」「All The Way」の３曲。「Makin’ Love」は６年ぶりの復活ですし、『REVENGE』の「Take It Off」をメイクアップKISSが演奏するのは今年が初です。そして、「All The Way」。実は近年でもたまに演奏しているので「○年ぶり」とは言えないのですが、演奏回数のレア度では前２曲を上回る。しかも、最近の演奏はほとんどが“THE KISS KRUISE”でのことであり、半ばクルーズ・イベントの象徴めいたポジションになっているのです。
「無観客／世界一のパイロ／超スペクタクル・プロショット」で話題を集めた『2020 GOODBYE』から一転、「密室／超間近オーディエンス・ショット／激レア曲」の魅力で押しまくる１枚です。本作自体が最新ショウを現場体験できる傑作映像なのですが、さらに『2020 GOODBYE』と合わせる事で“真逆のKISS”を楽しめる。ぜひ、この機会にお試しください。
