“THE FUTURE PAST World Tour” has finally started. A multi-camera video has already appeared, with a shocking set list breaking news of the latest hot topic tour.
This work was shot on May 28, 2023 in Ljubljana (Slovenia). It is the audience shot. Since this work is also the first report, let’s start with the overall picture of the tour.

A total of 37 performances. The Ljubljana performance of this work was a kick-off concert on the first day. Fans from all over the world are paying attention to the first day of the new tour, as the conceptual stage set and song selection are attracting attention every time. As a result, a large number of videos flooded the Internet immediately after the performance. This work is a multi-camera work assembled by overseas enthusiasts from such a group of images. I can’t say “the position is ○○” or “the image quality is ◇◇” in a single word only for a multi-camera, but it’s basically a superb view just because it’s carefully selected. However, it’s a little different when you imagine a so-called “pro shot alternative” style. The best video of each song is spliced together to reproduce the full concert, and the highlight parts (such as guitar solos and gimmicks) are inserted with different zoom angles. Audio is also used for each video.
And the full show of “THE FUTURE PAST Tour”, which the whole world has been waiting for and is delighted with, will be depicted with such visual beauty. Let’s organize the full set right away.

… and it looks like this. As announced in advance, the set with “SOMEWHERE IN TIME” & “SENJUTSU” as two axes is furiously fresh! The new songs of “SENJUTSU” have been completely replaced except for “The Writing On The Wall”, but what is even more shocking is the “SOMEWHERE IN TIME” number. The theme of Blade Runner resonates from the opening, starting with “Caught Somewhere In Time” for the first time since 1987! Since becoming a 6-member group, we have performed many classics with triple guitar arrangements, but this day is the first 6-member version of “Caught Somewhere In Time”.
And, the best part is “Alexander The Great”!!!　The highlight of “SOMEWHERE IN TIME” is the big song, but so far it has never been performed live. Such a genuine super rare song celebrated its world premiere after 37 years. More to say, IRON MAIDEN has never dug up songs that were not played at the time of the album announcement. It was also common knowledge among collectors that “songs that weren’t played live at that time will never be played in the future”. It is a historic premiere that finally broke the unspoken rule that has been protected for 43 years since such a debut.
Furthermore, “Heaven Can Wait” is a highlight unique to video. The performance itself is the first in 15 years, but this time there will be no chorus by all the staff, and Eddy Stilts will appear. This time, in the cyborg gunman specification of the single “Stranger In A Strange Land”, we will have a shootout with Bruce Dickinson. What’s more, it doesn’t pretend to shoot or deceive with a laser beam, but it really shoots fireballs (dangerous)! “Last time’s flamethrower was amazing, but lately Maiden likes playing with fire.” Speaking of Eddie, of course “Iron Maiden”. This time it’s a super gorgeous version with a double appearance of giant Eddie & stilt Eddie.

遂に始まった“THE FUTURE PAST World Tour”。衝撃のセットリストが話題沸騰の最新ツアーを速報するマルチカメラ映像が早くも登場です。
そんな本作が撮影されたのは「2023年５月28日リュブリャナ公演（スロベニア）」。そのオーディエンス・ショットです。本作は第一報でもありますので、まずはツアーの全体像から始めましょう。

以上、全37公演。本作のリュブリャナ公演は、キックオフとなる初日のコンサートでした。毎回コンセプチュアルなステージセットと選曲が話題を呼ぶだけに、新ツアーの初日は全世界のファンが大注目。それだけに終演直後から大量の動画がネット上に溢れ返りました。本作は、そんな映像群から海外マニアが組み上げたマルチカメラ作品なのです。マルチカメラだけにひと口で「ポジションは○○」「画質は◇◇」と言い切れないのですが、厳選しているだけに基本的に絶景です。ただし、いわゆる「プロショット代わり」的な作風をイメージするとちょっと違う。１曲ずつのベスト映像を繋ぎ合わせてフルコンサートを再現しており、その中で見どころパート（例えばギターソロや仕掛け等）で、よりズームな別アングルを挿入するスタイル。音声も各映像の物が使用されています。

……と、このようになっています。事前にアナウンスされた通り、『SOMEWHERE IN TIME』＆『SENJUTSU』を２本軸にしたセットは猛烈に新鮮！　『SENJUTSU』の新曲が「The Writing On The Wall」以外総入れ替えになっていますが、それ以上に衝撃なのが『SOMEWHERE IN TIME』ナンバー。オープニングからしてブレードランナーのテーマが鳴り響き、1987年以来となる「Caught Somewhere In Time」でスタート！　６人編成になってから数々のクラシックスをトリプルギター・アレンジで再演してきましたが、「Caught Somewhere In Time」はこの日が初の６人バージョンです。
そして、極めつけなのが「Alexander The Great」ぉ!!!　『SOMEWHERE IN TIME』のハイライトとも言うべき大曲ですが、これまでただの一度も演奏されたライヴ演奏がありませんでした。そんな正真正銘の激レア曲が、37年を経ての全世界初演を迎えたのです。もっと言いますと、これまでIRON MAIDENはアルバム発表当時に演奏しなかった曲を掘り起こしたことがない。「当時のライヴでやってない曲は未来永劫やらない」がコレクターの常識でもあった。そんなデビュー以来43年間守られてきた暗黙のルールが、ついに破られた歴史的な初演なのです。
さらに映像ならではの見どころと言えば「Heaven Can Wait」。演奏自体が15年ぶりだったりしますが、今回はスタッフ総出のコーラスはなく、竹馬エディが登場します。今回はシングル『Stranger In A Strange Land』のサイボーグ・ガンマン仕様で、ブルース・ディッキンソンと銃撃戦を繰り広げる。しかも、これが撃つフリやレーザー光線で誤魔化すのではなく、本当に火の玉を発射（あぶねぇ）！　前回の火炎放射器もスゴかったですが、最近のメイデンは火遊びが好きですね。そうそう、エディと言えばもちろん「Iron Maiden」。今回は巨大エディ＆竹馬エディのダブル出演という超豪華バージョンです。
