“ALL THINGS MUST PASS: UNRELEASED DCC 24K GOLD DISC” is a phantom version of George Harrison’s immortal masterpiece remastered with a very analog-like texture. The finish that you can easily enjoy the warm texture on the CD was very popular, and it was so popular that the second press was released. However, with the release of the Super Deluxe Edition containing the remixed version of the same album last year, “ALL THINGS MUST PASS: UNRELEASED DCC 24K GOLD DISC” has been in the limelight again for comparison of the original mix. , Even the second press was sold out.
On the contrary, the popularity of “ALL THINGS MUST PASS: UNRELEASED DCC 24K GOLD DISC” is still undiminished, and there are constant requests for its release three times. After all, the “wall of sound” produced by Phil Spector has a clear sound, and the DCC remaster, which makes the most of the original mix, has a finish that slightly surpasses the first CD version released in 1989. big. So this time the long-awaited third press release will be realized, but it is a masterpiece that has been sold out to the second press anyway, this time it is not just a third recurrence.
First of all, we fine-tuned the tape deterioration and the likely sound of “I’d Have You Anytime” to “Wah-Wah” by equalization, which was overlooked at the mastering stage. This is especially noticeable in “My Sweet Lord”, which had a feeling of comfort. In addition, it has been upgraded to a two-disc set that includes the “APPLE JAM” part, which was treated as a bonus since it was a 1CD release last time. However, although the previous bonus CD-R was diverted from the domestic edition, this time it is diverted again from the UK original edition.
Since the “APPLE JAM” part was recorded on a sunny day, we prepared a little surprise this time. I would like you to listen to the second disc until the end. You may be able to find out the secret of a song that was recorded in the jam part, so please look forward to it.
Furthermore, this time, we decided to upgrade to a gorgeous four-disc set that couples another mastering version of “ALL THINGS MUST PASS”. It is the version pressed by Kano Nimbus when it was released in 1989. Of course, not only did the company undertake the pressing of the CD, but it was Nimbus-like, and the mastering was done independently, so it was a big deal. Speaking of Nimbus, “SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND: NIMBUS SUPERCUT”. It is still fresh in my memory that the second press was released here, but such Nimbus released “ALL THINGS ~” quietly in 1989.
In the first place, Nimbus Remaster was only responsible for part of the production in the early days of CD, and of course many numbers were not pressed. Of course, it became a mega rare item among the early CD items released in the 80’s, and it is a popular board that would be sold out in no time if it were to appear on the Japanese second-hand market. By coupling it with the DCC mastering version, it has become the strongest set of “ALL THINGS MUST PASS” original mix. There is no doubt that both remasters surpass the original remasters released in 1989, but this Nimbus version has a different feel from DDC.
The difference is easy to understand not only for songs that stand out from Spector’s first-class sound wall mix, but also for performances with a small number of sounds, such as “If Not For You”. Compared to listening to the same song, Ringo’s drum ringing from the right side in the intro is thicker in DCC, and Nimbus this time has a more delicate impression. Both of them surpass the 89 edition regular CD remaster, of course, but you can enjoy the natural taste that surpasses the 2001 “NEW CENTURY EDITION”, which has lost its analog feeling due to its overemphasis on digital clarity. A third press that can be enjoyed not only by those who have missed the two DCC versions released so far, but also by those who have them!
