August 15, 1965 The Beatles’ “Shea Stadium” concert, which was the first performance in rock history at a large stadium with more than 50,000 people. As a historical live at the height of popularity, many sound sources and images have been in various forms, but until now there has been no release as an official work like the “Hollywood Bowl”, and some of them are limited in 2016. It was only released in theaters. This “Shea Stadium” is a CD & DVD version based on the “GOLDEN SLUMBERS” edition produced overseas with a virtual concept assuming an official release that has not yet been realized, and it is a 2016 theater release version that is not in the original The first appearance sound source that reproduces is also additionally recorded. Also included as a special appendix is a CD-ROM disc containing the complete image data of the virtual concept photobook booklet and pamphlet. In addition, the latest collector’s item that has become a unique special edition with a double-page spread jacket specification with an original design! !!
* The CD includes “New Audio Mix 2022” and “The Movie Version 2016”. The sound source of the concert complete recording so far is basically a monaural uncensored real live sound source, but in “New Audio Mix 2022”, it is recorded in the stereo remix complete version edited by the latest digital restore newly produced. It has been reborn as a clear upgrade sound source compared to the original sound source. “The Movie Version 2016” includes the original soundtrack of the movie version “Shea Stadium” that was released in theaters at the same time as the 2016 movie “EIGHT DAYS A WEEK-THE TOURING YEARS”. It is a short edit version with a small number of songs and a different song order like the former film version and TV broadcast, but it has been newly edited for the 2016 theater release, and there are differences between songs and endings. The official release has been awaited since the theatrical release at that time, but it has not been released as a video work yet, and here the 2016 version is completely reproduced with the existing remastered sound source. The original “GOLDEN SLUMBERS” edition produced overseas has not been recorded, and a noteworthy first appearance sound source that is different from the sound sources that have been on the market so far is additionally recorded.
* The DVD contains the latest original editing “New Film Edition 2022”. Beginning with the newly produced original documentary video, all songs of the main concert are completely recorded. It is wonderful that “She’s a Woman” and “Everybody’s Trying”, which originally have no video, are reproduced with almost no discomfort by making full use of the video of other songs! Until now, some of the images related to Shea Stadium were recorded in the former film version, such as “ANTHOLOGY” and “EIGHT DAYS A WEEK-THE TOURING YEARS”, but there was a difference in image quality when combined with existing images. Is a must-see video that is completely reproduced with the best quality video. “Bonus Video” includes live footage of Billy Joel and Paul McCartney at the same Shea Stadium before the 2008 renovation, and Paul McCartney’s first live at the venue reborn as CITI Field in 2009. Includes live footage including documentary.
* The CD-ROM data disc (CDR), which is a special appendix, includes a photobook booklet with more than 106 pages published in the “GOLDEN SLUMBERS” edition, which was produced overseas with a virtual concept assuming official release, and 1965. Complete recording of image data of US tour brochures. An excellent data file that fulfills the enthusiast’s dream of becoming such a gorgeous photo book if it is released in the future. It is created in PDF format and can be viewed on a PC as PC data.
１９６５年８月１５日ロック史上初の５万人を超える大規模スタジアムでの公演となったビートルズの”シェイ・スタジアム”コンサート。人気絶頂期の歴史的ライブとしてこれまで数多くの音源や映像が様々な形態であるものの現在に至るまで”ハリウッド・ボウル”のような公式作品としてのリリースもなく２０１６年その一部が限定的に劇場公開されただけである。今回の『シェイ・スタジアム』は今だ実現化されていない公式リリースを想定したバーチャル・コンセプトで海外制作された”GOLDEN SLUMBERS”エディションを元にＣＤ&ＤＶＤ化したものでオリジナルにはない２０１６年劇場公開バージョンを再現した初登場音源も追加収録。また特別付録としてバーチャル・コンセプトの写真集ブックレットやパンフレットの画像データを完全収録したCD-ROMディスクも同梱。さらにオリジナル・デザインによる見開き紙ジャケット仕様による独自のスペシャル・エディションとなった注目の最新コレクターズ・アイテム！！
＊ＣＤには『ニュー・オーディオ・ミックス２０２２』と『ザ・ムービー・バージョン２０１６』を収録。これまでのコンサート完全収録の音源は基本的にモノラルの無修正リアルライブ音源だが『ニュー・オーディオ・ミックス２０２２』では新たに制作された最新デジタル・レストア編集によるステレオ・リミックス完全版で収録。オリジナル音源に比べ明らかなアップグレード音源に生まれ変わっている。『ザ・ムービー・バージョン２０１６』は２０１６年の映画『EＩＧＨＴ ＤＡＹＳ A ＷＥＥＫ～ＴＨＥ ＴＯＵＲＩＮＧ ＹＥＡＲＳ』と同時に限定的に劇場公開された映画版『シェイ・スタジアム』のオリジナル・サウンドトラックを収録。かつてのフィルム版やTＶ放送用と同様曲数も少なく曲順も異なるショート・エディット・バージョンだが２０１６年劇場公開用に新たに編集されており曲間やエンディングにも違いが見られる。当時の劇場公開以来公式リリースが待たれたが今だ映像作品としては発売されておらずここではその２０１６年バージョンを現存するリマスター音源で完全再現。海外制作オリジナルの”GOLDEN SLUMBERS”エディションにも未収録でこれまで数多く出回った音源とは異なる注目の初登場音源が追加収録されている。
＊ＤＶＤには最新オリジナル編集の『ニュー・フィルム・エディション２０２２』を収録。今回新たに制作された独自のドキュメンタリー映像から始まりコンサート本編を全曲完全収録。元々映像が存在しない「シーズ・ア・ウーマン」「みんないい娘」は他曲の映像等を駆使してほぼ違和感なく再現しているのはお見事！これまでシェイ・スタジアム関連映像はかつてのフィルム版はじめ『ＡＮＴＨＯＬＯＧＹ』や『EＩＧＨＴ ＤＡＹＳ A ＷＥＥＫ～ＴＨＥ ＴＯＵＲＩＮＧ ＹＥＡＲＳ』等でもその一部が収録されていたものの既存映像を組み合わせだと画質に落差があったがベスト・クオリティの映像でコンプリート再現した必見映像となっている。『ボーナス・ビデオ』には同じシェイ・スタジアムで２００８年改修前最後に行われたビリー・ジョエルとポール・マッカートニーのライブ映像と２００９年ＣＩＴＩフィールドとして生まれ変わった会場で初ライブを行ったポール・マッカートニーのライブ映像をドキュメンタリー含め収録。
