Alice Cooper, who produced the rock and baseball theme restaurant “ALICE COOPERSTOWN” and expanded the range of entertainment. A superb soundboard album that conveys the opening ceremony live with “THE CLOCK PEOPLE” is now available.
Such a special stage was held on “May 30, 2001 in Denver”. It is a stereo sound board recording recorded at the second store of “ALICE COOPERSTOWN” (the first store was opened in 1998 in Phoenix). Speaking of Alice in 2001, it is remembered as the year of “DRAGONTOWN”, but this work is not an album promotion tour, but a special stage. This is Alice Cooper in 2000/2001. The familiar “LIVE FROM THE BRUTAL PLANET Tour” in her official “BRUTALLY LIVE” ended with “Europe #2”. The opening of “ALICE COOPERSTOWN: Denver store” was right after returning from the tour.
This work, which was created on such a stage, is a superlative stereo soundboard. A sound board master discovered by the prestigious “Krw_co”, and the type is directly connected to the mix desk. While the loud cheers between songs roar in the distance, the live performance and singing voice are super thick. The sense of separation is also strangely vivid, the stereo feeling of panning that blows off a fierce left and right width, the volume balance collapses here and there, and the effect is applied suddenly. However, although there is no doubt that it is vivid, it is also a point that it is in order as a whole. The balance of each instrument and chorus is well-balanced, and it is extremely easy to listen to even if it is vivid. It’s a superb sound board that looks like an official live album and IEMs interception.
In a sense, the transcendental sound that can be said to be “beyond the official” is a special performance that, although short, features extremely rare songs. Let’s put things in order here.

… and it looks like this. The original 5 songs are fresh ensembles by the local band “THE CLOCK PEOPLE”, but the best thing to listen to is a rare cover song. BEASTIE BOYS’s “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)” is mainly “THE CLOCK PEOPLE” and Alice is about the chorus, but “I Want You To Want Me” and “You Really Got Me” are solid. is leading. Speaking of “Alice singing a cover”, HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES also comes to mind, but I have never played the three songs of this work.
As the owner of this work, he expresses his gratitude for opening the restaurant and closes the curtain. It is a piece that pours into the brain an atmosphere that is completely different from usual and extremely rare cover songs with an official-class superb sound board. そんな特別ステージが行われたのは「2001年５月30日デンバー」。“ALICE COOPERSTOWN”の２号店（１号店は1998年開店のフェニックス）で記録されたステレオ・サウンドボード録音です。2001年のアリスと言えば『DRAGONTOWN』の年として記憶されるわけですが、本作はアルバム・プロモーションのツアーではなく、あくまで特別ステージ。その辺の状況を把握するためにも、まずは当時のスケジュールから紐解いてみましょう。

これが2000年／2001年のアリス・クーパー。公式『BRUTALLY LIVE』でもお馴染みの” LIVE FROM THE BRUTAL PLANET Tour”は「欧州#2」で終了。「ALICE COOPERSTOWN：デンバー店」の開店はツアーから帰国直後というタイミングでした。
そんなステージできろくされた本作は、極上級のステレオ・サウンドボード。名門「Krw_co」が発掘したサウンドボード・マスターで、タイプとしてはミックス卓直結系。曲間の大歓声が遠くに轟きつつ、生演奏と歌声が超極太。セパレート感も異様に鮮やかで、猛烈な左右幅を吹っ飛ぶパンのステレオ感、ところどころ音量バランスが崩れたり、エフェクトのかかり方が急だったりする生々しさも強烈です。ただ、生々しいのは間違いないものの、全体では整っているのもポイント。各楽器やコーラスなどのバランスがキチンと整っており、生々しいくても極めて聴きやすい。まるで公式ライヴアルバムとIEMs傍受のオイシイどこ取りしたような極上サウンドボードなのです。
ある意味「オフィシャル超え」とも言える超絶サウンドで画かれるのは、短いながらも激レア曲も飛び出す特別パフォーマンス。ここでその内容を整理しておきましょう。

……と、このようになっています。オリジナル５曲もローカル・バンド“THE CLOCK PEOPLE”によるアンサンブルが新鮮ですが、一番の聴きどころは激レアなカバー曲でしょう。BEASTIE BOYSの「(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)」は“THE CLOCK PEOPLE”がメインでアリスはコーラス程度ですが、「I Want You To Want Me」「You Really Got Me」がしっかり御大がリードしている。「カバーを歌うアリス」と言えばHOLLYWOOD VAMPIRESも思い浮かびますが、本作の３曲はそちらでも演奏したことがありません。
オーナーとしてレストラン開店の礼を語り、幕を閉じる本作。普段とはまるで違う雰囲気や激レアなカバー曲をオフィシャル級の極上サウンドボードで脳みそに流し込んでくれる１枚です。クラブ・ギグよりさらに密室なレストラン開店の一夜。どうぞ、本作で存分にお楽しみください。
