The official archive series “50 Years Live!: From the Aerosmith Vaults” is monopolizing the topic of the collector world. The third / fourth bullets are released at the same time.
“From the Aerosmith Vaults” is a video series on the official AEROSMITH channel. It is a project to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the formation, and the symbolic stages of the long history are being released one by one. What is included in this work is the multi-camera pro shot of the 4th “Detroit performance on September 7, 2003”. In terms of work releases, 2003 was between the best album “O, YEAH!” and the cover album “HONKIN’ ON BOBO”. It was also an act of “ROCKSIMUS MAXIMUS Tour” which is not a specific work support. In order to imagine such a situation, let’s look back on the schedule at that time a little wider.

This is the 2002/2003 AEROSMITH. There were two visits to Japan in 2002, but in 2003 only the North American “ROCKSIMUS MAXIMUS Tour”. The Detroit performance of this work was the 20th performance of “North America # 4”.
This work, which conveys such a show, is exactly the “completely official level”. Since the most genuine official channel has been announced, it is natural for official grades, but it is still beautiful. As you know if you have experienced even one “From the Aerosmith Vaults” so far, this series is not just a collection of old images. It is an official project commemorating the 50th anniversary of the formation, and it is digitized directly from the treasured Omoto master, and the official is mastering it with prestige. The process and finish are the same as the official release DVD. Moreover, in the case of this work, the live itself is in the 21st century, and at first glance it can be seen that advanced equipment and a generous budget have been applied from the shooting stage. Speaking of the early 2000s, the official video “YOU GOTTA MOVE” comes to mind, but the quality of this work is not even half a step lower than that masterpiece (rather, it is superior in terms of color reproduction and vividness).
Although the timing and quality are just like “YOU GOTTA MOVE”, it’s a separate tour. The sets are also quite different. Let’s organize them by comparing them here.

Although this “From the Aerosmith Vaults” series emphasizes quality, it does not adhere to full recording, and this work was also played on the day “I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You)” “Stop Messin Covers such as ‘Around’, ‘Baby Please Don’t Go’ and ‘Walk This Way’ are cut. Concentrated in about 1 hour. However, the density is special, and there are plenty of repertoires of the “a little rarer than usual” class. Classics are not only classics, but “Adam’s Apple” and “Nobody’s Fault” are delicious revival songs. Including transcendental quality, it is a piece that can be enjoyed as a “continuation of YOU GOTTA MOVE” or a “supplementary edition of YOU GOTTA MOVE”.

“From the Aerosmith Vaults”とは、AEROSMITHの公式チャンネルによる映像シリーズ。結成50周年を記念するプロジェクトで、長い歴史でも象徴的なステージを順次公開しています。本作に収められているのは、その第四弾である「2003年９月７日デトロイト公演」のマルチカメラ・プロショットです。作品リリース的に言いますと、2003年はベスト盤『O, YEAH!』とカバー・アルバム『HONKIN’ ON BOBO』の合間。特定の作品サポートではない“ROCKSIMUS MAXIMUS Tour”の一幕でもありました。そんな状況をイメージする為にも、当時のスケジュールをちょっと広めに振り返ってみましょう。

これが2002年／2003年のAEROSMITH。2002年には二度の来日がありましたが、2003年には北米の“ROCKSIMUS MAXIMUS Tour”のみ。本作のデトロイト公演は「北米#4」の20公演目にあたるコンサートでした。
そんなショウを伝える本作は、まさに「完全オフィシャル級」。もっとも正真正銘の公式チャンネルが公表しているのでオフィシャル級で当たり前でもあるのですが、それにしても美しい。これまでの“From the Aerosmith Vaults”を１本でも体験された方ならご存知と思いますが、このシリーズは昔の映像の単なる蔵出しではない。結成50周年を記念するオフィシャル事業であり、秘蔵の大元マスターからダイレクトにデジタル化され、それをオフィシャルが威信を賭けてマスタリングされている。その工程も仕上がりも公式リリースのDVDと何ら変わらないのです。しかも、本作の場合はライヴ自体が21世紀であり、一見して撮影段階から高度な機材と潤沢な予算がかけられているのが分かる。2000年代初頭と言えば、公式映像『YOU GOTTA MOVE』が思い浮かびますが、本作のクオリティはあの名作に半歩も譲りません（むしろ発色の再現度と鮮やかさでは勝っているくらいです）。
時期もクオリティも『YOU GOTTA MOVE』ばりではありますが、そこは別ツアー。セットは結構違ってもいます。ここで比較しながら整理してみましょう。
