Five years, nine months and seven days. The reorganized GUNS N’ ROSES has finally returned to Japan. Two types of original recordings that give a quick report on the whole picture have arrived! “Emergency simultaneous release decision!!”
There will be two performances in Japan this time. This week, both Raive albums were released at once. This work is the second edition. It is a superb audience recording of “November 6, 2022 Saitama Super Arena Performance”, which will be the last day of coming to Japan. If it comes to the breaking news of GUNS coming to Japan, there may be people who are not usually interested in bootlegs. It’s also a good opportunity, so let’s look back on the entire history of GUNS’ visit to Japan.

So far, 28 performances in 34 years. Last time in 2017, Slash / Duff McKagan returned to the spring, but this time it was the second time in about six years. It was the final night of all two performances. As you can see from the date, when this article was published, less than two days had passed since the actual production ended, so it is the fastest release.
This work is also a sister work of “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2022 1ST NIGHT (Shades 1641)”, which will be released at the same time. This does not simply mean two consecutive performances at the same venue, but the same collection by the same recording artist. Just because it is the same venue, the same recording artist, and the same equipment, the sound has a perfect sense of unity. The big-boned core has excellent rushing power, and the details are clear. The hall sound is also sucked in, but it does not give a sense of distance, and the dynamism of the performance is also raised.
However, even if the individuality of the sound is common, it is a separate performance. It is not exactly the same sound as “1ST NIGHT”. The factor is the recording position. Although it has not been transmitted to the specific seat, the hall sound is thicker in this work than in “1ST NIGHT”. Of course, there is nothing to lose if it becomes empty, but this work (as mentioned above) is the type that breaks through the core. The thickness of the ringing is converted into power, and it is even rich.
A full show with a different set from the first day is drawn with such a masterful dynamic sound. In order to make it easier to compare with “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2022 1ST NIGHT”, let’s organize the set by dividing it into “common songs / daily songs” as well.

… and it looks like this. There were two “daily songs” on the first day, but four songs on the second day of this work. Music is art, so it’s not just a case of big and small, but there’s no doubt that this work is more profitable as a treasure trove of masterpieces. Especially the point is “Wichita Lineman”, which is the first public song in Japan that has never been played in Japan so far.
This is the fastest release featuring all the two performances that have just finished with the same recording artist’s collection. A sister work that allows not only those who have been to the scene, but also those who are not convenient, to fully experience the two most talked performances. Please enjoy it together.
