Y & T played a very moving performance in Japan. This week, when the big decision board “KAWASAKI 2017 (Shades 718)” will appear, we have prepared the finest professional shots that capture the brave figure of just 30 years ago.
Included in this work is “August 29, 1987 Kansas City Performance”. It is a multi-camera pro shot of the problem work “CONTAGIOUS” era. It is a video that has been known among enthusiasts for a long time, but this work is not a copy of it. It is a DVD version of the recently-appearing related party leak master.
The quality is truly a master of the people involved. Obviously, analog photography in the 1980s cannot be described by modern digital standards, but the freshness is so fresh that you can wonder what the images used to be. There is no tape twist or line noise, and the color is vivid. The visual beauty is so vivid that you can’t imagine having jumped over 30 years. Of course, the sound is also the best sound board suitable for the scene. “When I cleaned the room, the official video of that time came out from the name of the shelf.”
And Y & T drawn with that quality 30 years ago is also wonderful. The beginning is a “super Y & T” opening from “From The Moon / Open Fire” to “Mean Streak”, but after that, it is a large-scale behavior from the new work “CONTAGIOUS” at that time. Excluding each person’s solo, 10 songs have been performed in this work, but the majority of them, 6 songs, are new songs. At that time, the album “CONTAGIOUS” had a slightly astringent image, but the songs that I felt as adults changed completely when I got on the heat of the stage. Originally it was a genuine live band, but it is rare that the image changes from the album so far … It is such a strong version.
It is a scene that makes the “reborn” image even more intense. Dave Meniketti, who was only 33 years old, was a tasty and greasy performer, and his singing voice and guitar reached the level of his master, but he didn’t feel any decline, wither, or dust. On top of that, he is dressed in a gorgeous costume that looks like 1987. It’s like Ozzy Osbourne’s “Sin and Punishment” or Bon Jovi’s “Lay Your Hands On Me”. Of course, the now-deceased originators: Phil Kenemore & Joey Alvis are fine, and the newcomer Jimmy Degrasso, who later became famous by MEGADETH and others, is a young pitcher at the age of 24. “1987” blows out fiercely from both the screen and the speakers.
Looking back on history, “1987” was the first step toward the first dissolution. However, the struggle that was transparent from the studio work was not on the stage where he was originally. Even if a corner of the original composition collapsed, it was a positive decision for them at that time, and it was full of the spirit of “going up!”. This work is a fresh and beautiful physical proof. Asking the world about “new Y & T” … No, it’s a valuable item that captures those who were trying to hit them with the finest multi-camera pro shots. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.
