“What’s this?” … The official rare work that seems to hear such a voice is the gift release decision.
The identity of this work is an official video work entitled “BEST LIVE IN USA”. It was released in 2007 when the world was excited about the reunion with David Lee Roth, but the contents are live during the Sammy Hagar era. This is a multi-camera pro shot consisting of “August 27, 1986 New Haven performance” and “May 14, 1992 + 15 Fresno performance”. Some of you may have come from this date. Yes, it is a combination of that “LIVE WITHOUT A NET” and “RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW”.
The concept alone made me feel like “?”, But when I actually saw it, it was even more intense. It seems that it must be an official product that also comes out with the credit of COMBIA when it is played, but after that, a mysterious maker credit flows with a cheap CG of the training video level of the driver’s license, and it rushes into the main part. The main story is safe only for the official masterpiece … I thought, but the expectation is very sweet. This is already a blurry shobo shobo. Far from upgrading from VHS, the image quality is clearly lower than the original video, and even a slight discoloration (is it done?). Maybe it’s because the original is 4: 3 wide, or because it’s a combination of two images with different textures … Anyway, the image quality is as low as the Youtube video of a long time ago. However, like a major release, only Japanese subtitles are strangely tight.
The quality alone does not block the open mouth, but it is even more mysterious. “LIVE WITHOUT A NET” and “RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW” are replaced almost every song. If the tensions of the people are different, it feels strange to go back and forth between the summer clothes of the Bubbly era and the chic era. Unless you are particular about the order of the songs and have a concept, you can’t see the aim no matter how much you look at the songs. Of course, excerpts from both works, not all songs. For the time being, let’s summarize the selection.

… And it looks like this. I’m not sure if it’s recommended or not, but let’s make a clear statement. “I can’t recommend it.”
Already, it is strange and cheap from corner to corner. This is one for laughing (also a kind of ridicule or bitter laughter) when you are surprised at the fact that such a thing was released to the public by a major company. However, even so, if Omoto is watching only the official masterpieces, he will be drawn in, but it is a great work that makes you want to squeeze yourself. This is a rare gift for the strong brothers, “I am the one”, limited to the core enthusiasts who are tired of masterpieces and masterpieces.

「なんだこれ？」……そんな声が聞こえてきそうなオフィシャル珍作がギフト・リリース決定です。
そんな本作の正体は『BEST LIVE IN USA』と題された公式の映像作品です。デヴィッド・リー・ロスとの再結成に世界中が沸いていた2007年にリリースされたのですが、その中身はサミー・ヘイガー時代のライヴ。「1986年８月27日ニューヘイヴン公演」と「1992年５月14日＋15日フレズノ公演」で構成されたマルチカメラ・プロショットです。この日付からもうピンと来られた方もいらっしゃるでしょう。そう、あの『LIVE WITHOUT A NET』と『RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW』を組み合わせたものなのです。
そのコンセプトだけで「？」という感じですが、実際に観るともっと強烈。再生するとコ○ムビアのクレジットも出てくる公式品には違いないようなのですが、その後は運転免許の研修ビデオレベルの安っぽいCGで得体の知れないメーカークレジットが流れ、本編に突入。本編はオフィシャルの名作だけに安心……かと思いきや、その予想は大甘。これがもう、ボッケボケのショボショボ。VHSからアップグレードするどころか、明らかに元映像よりも画質が落ち、微妙に変色までしている（させている？）。元が４：３なのを無理矢理ワイドにしているせいか、もしくは質感の異なる２つの映像を組み合わせる為なのか……理由はともあれ、ひと昔前のYoutube動画のような低画質。そのくせ、大手リリースらしく日本語字幕だけ妙にキッチリしていたりします。
そのクオリティだけでも開いた口がふさがりませんが、さらにナゾなのが構成。ほぼ１曲毎に『LIVE WITHOUT A NET』と『RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW』を入れ替わっていくのです。本人達のテンション違えば、バブリー時代の夏服とシックな時代が行ったり来たりするも違和感満点。これで曲順にこだわりなりコンセプトなりがあるなら別ですが、いくら曲目を眺めても狙いが見えてこないのです。もちろん、両作からも全曲ではなく抜粋。一応、そのセレクトもまとめておきましょう。

……と、このようになっています。お薦めしているのか違うのか分からなくなってきましたが、もうハッキリ断言しておきましょう。「オススメできません」。
もう、隅から隅まで珍妙でチープ。こんなものが大手から一般リリースされていた事実に驚き、笑う（それも冷笑や苦笑いの類）ための１枚です。もっとも、そうは言っても大元がオフィシャルの名作だけに観ていると引き込まれてしまったりするのですが、そんな自分をしかりつけたくなる大駄作。名作・傑作に飽き飽きしてしまったすれっからしのコア・マニア限定、「我こそは」という強者の諸兄に贈る珍品ギフトです。
