The 60th anniversary tour “Sixty” of Stones, whose concentration increased with the end of Paul’s “GOT BACK”. A live album that allows you to experience the first act in a real way is decided to be a gift release.

The Milan performance of this work was a concert on the first day of resuming the tour. This show is also introduced as a video work “MILAN 2022: THE VIDEO (Uxbridge 1687)”, but this work is a different recording.
And the quality is super real. The slightly distant feel is neither a type that can be mistaken for a sound board, nor a sound for everyone that is permanently stored as a press CD. I honestly breathe in the hustle and bustle around the taper, and it’s a type of recording where I’m right in the middle of the concert scene and relive as one of the audience. This may seem like a bad recording, but it’s also different. It takes some getting used to the audience, but once you get used to it, you’ll find that there are plenty of delicious points.
The umami is vividness and detail. I am sucking in a thick sound, but the rushing force of the core that penetrates it is comfortable, and the edge that seems to tear is sharp. Along with that, the details of the performance are also firmly transmitted, and especially Mick’s vocals can be clearly understood word by word in the lyrics. If you can feel the details, the dynamism of the thick sound will be delicious, and you can feel the excitement between the songs that the sound explodes as a huge spectacle.
The real spectacle sound can be enjoyed at the full show when the tour resumes. Speaking of “Sixty” live album, the press masterpiece “MUNICH 2022” is currently the best masterpiece. Finally, let’s organize the set while comparing.

The latest reports these days are becoming mainly video, but while the persuasive power to see with the eyes is strong, the imagination is not stimulated and the experience other than what is seen with the eyes may be poor. The live album that stands in the middle of the scene with your eyes closed is also a good thing because there are so many video works. これが“Sixty”の現状。序盤３公演が終わったところでミックの新型コロナ感染が発覚し、ツアーは一時中断。本作のミラノ公演はツアー再開初日にあたるコンサートでした。このショウは映像作『MILAN 2022: THE VIDEO（Uxbridge 1687）』としてもご紹介しておりますが、本作はそれとも異なる別録音です。
そして、そのクオリティは超リアル系。やや距離のある感触はサウンドボードと間違えるようなタイプでもプレスCDとして永久保存する万人向けサウンドでもない。テーパー周囲の喧騒も正直に吸い込んでいますし、まさにコンサート現場のただ中に居合わせ、観客の１人となって追体験するタイプの録音です。こう書くとダメ録音と思われるかも知れませんが、それもまた違う。多少のオーディエンス慣れは必要なものの、慣れてさえいれば実は美味しいポイントもたっぷりあることに気づくのです。
その旨みとは、鮮やかとディテール。厚めの鳴りを吸い込んでいるのですが、それを突き抜けてくる芯の突進力が心地良く、切り裂くようなエッジもシャープ。そして、それに伴って演奏のディテールもしっかりと伝わっており、特にミックのヴォーカルは歌詞の一語一語まではっきりと分かる。細部まで感じ取れるようになれば、ぶ厚い鳴りのダイナミズムも美味しく、その鳴りが爆発するような曲間の盛り上がりも巨大スペクタクルとして感じ取れるのです。
そんなリアル系スペクタクル・サウンドで味わえるのは、ツアー再開に沸くフルショウ。“Sixty”のライヴアルバムと言えば、現在のところプレス名盤『MUNICH 2022』が最高傑作。最後に、比較しながらセットも整理しておきましょう。
