On February 14, 1981, the live performance of the second day of the Dortmund performance was completely recorded with a high-quality audience recording. The sound source is also famous as “Tear Down The Wall” of Zeus label from the past, and the total recording time including the intro of 3 minutes from the start of the performance is longer than the Sigma board “DORTMUND 1981 2ND NIGHT”, and the value as a document board is shaken. It can be said that there is something insignificant. The sound quality of the Sigma board “DORTMUND 1981 2ND NIGHT”, which is described as “Crystal Clear”, is a thick and light analog-style recording, but it can be said to be a good sound for this era. The mild and scaled recording that is kind to the ears is wonderful, and it can be said that this is also one of the best representatives of the 1981 Dortmund series performance. Compared to the Zeus board, the sound is slightly brighter and clearer, and it is easy to determine that you are using a source that is closer to the master. 1981年2月14日、ドルトムント公演2日目のライヴを高音質オーディエンス録音で完全収録。過去よりZeusレーベルの「Tear Down The Wall」としても有名な音源で、演奏開始3分間のイントロを含め、全体の収録時間はSigma盤「DORTMUND 1981 2ND NIGHT」より長く、ドキュメント盤としての価値は揺ぎ無い物があると言えるでしょう。「クリスタル・クリアー」と表現されているSigma盤「DORTMUND 1981 2ND NIGHT」よの音質とは対象的な、太くもっさりしたアナログテイストな録音ですが、この時代としては、上々のサウンドと言えるでしょう。耳に優しいマイルドでスケール感のある録音は素晴らしく、これもまた1981年ドルトムント連続公演を代表する屈指の一枚と断言できます。Zeus盤と聴き比べると、若干ですが音に明るさとクリアネスが感じられ、よりマスターに近いソースを使用していることは容易に判断できます。現代的な音のブライトさと分離感を兼ね備えたSigma盤「DORTMUND 1981 2ND NIGHT」とは、また違った堂々たる重厚なサウンドは、今もって、ファンの心を捉えて離さないでしょう。ぜひ、この機会にお馴染みの「ドルトムント2日目 Recorder 1」音源の魅力を再確認して下さい。
