A concert sound source in Neil Young’s 1989 singing style has appeared. There are places where the cheers heard nearby between songs are a little worrisome, but the sound quality itself is a high quality one that does not need to be adjusted. Editing is limited to correcting chapter positions. The time when the eternal rock anthem “ROCKIN’ IN THE FREE WORLD” that has been sung since the album “Freedom” was born. In addition to the title song, the famous song “CRIME IN THE CITY” is played from the unique album “This Note’s for You” with Kan. It’s basically Neil’s singing style, but depending on the song, Crazy Horse’s Eternal Wakadaisho Poncho participates.

***** Mike Millard Tape Series *****
In recent years, “Mike Millard tape” has been digitized from direct master or raw generation tape. It is a tape recorded by Mr. Mike Millard, a taper familiar to fans with outstanding technology of audience recording. The same label has also released multiple sound sources mastered by this new digitized Mike Millard tape, and two of them, “Brushed Mike Millard Tape” and “Legendary Mike Millard Tape”. I have a pattern. Not all of the mic mirrored tapes have perfect sound quality, some of them have room for improvement, and the ones that have been greatly improved are the “Brushed” series. The “Legendary” series is originally close to perfection and has little room for sound quality improvement, and has been kept to a minimum, such as light editing between songs.

ニール・ヤングの1989年の弾き語りスタイルでのコンサート音源が登場。曲間で近く聞こえる歓声がやや気になる個所もありますが、音質自体は整える必要のないハイ・クオリティなもの。編集はチャプター位置の訂正程度にとどめてあります。アルバム“Freedom”から、後にも歌い継がれる永遠のロック・アンセム『ROCKIN’ IN THE FREE WORLD』が生まれた時期。さらに菅を配した異色のアルバム“This Note’s for You”からもタイトル曲に加え名曲『CRIME IN THE CITY』が演奏されています。基本的にニールの弾き語りスタイルですが、曲によってクレイジー・ホースの永遠の若大将ポンチョが参加しています。

近年マスター直、或いはロウ・ジェネレーションのテープからのデジタル化が進んでいる“マイク・ミラード・テープ”。オーディエンス録音の卓越した技術でファンにはお馴染みのテーパー、マイク・ミラード氏により録音されたテープです。同レーベルからもこの新デジタル化のマイク・ミラード・テープをマスターにした音源が複数リリースされており、“ブラッシュド・マイク・ミラード・テープ”と“レジェンダリー・マイク・ミラード・テープ”の二つのパターンがあります。マイク・ミラード・テープも全てが完璧な音質なわけではなく、中にはかなり手を加えて改良の余地があるものもあり、大幅に手を加えて改良されたものが“ブラッシュド”シリーズ。元々完璧に近く音質改良の余地があまり無く、曲間等の軽い編集など最低限にとどめてあるものが“レジェンダリー”シリーズとなっています。
