The sound source of the first day appears from the tour “Coastal Tour”. Although it is a solo live, it is quite colorful with acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano and organ. And the set list that is attracting attention in the world as “many rare songs”. The powerful rock tunes “I’M THE OCEAN” and “SONG X” from the album “Mirror Ball” with Pearl Jam are coveted by fans. Since it was a solo style, there was a long talk between songs, but the fans’ cheers in response to Neil’s talk were loud, so this label cut the interval between songs. Therefore, it may be a little negative in terms of realism. However, it is perfect for enjoying this wonderful set with just the song at a good tempo. Furthermore, “VAMPIRE BLUES” and “ROCKIN’ IN THE FREE WORLD” which were not played on the first day from the live on July 3rd are additionally recorded. Moreover, it fits on one disc and is reasonable and avoids the excitement of disc changes. It is a must-have collection on the first day of Neil’s tour to be commemorated in 2023.

とうとう始まったニール・ヤングのライヴ・ツアー“コースタル・ツアー”より初日の音源が登場です。ソロでのライヴですがアコースティック・ギター、エレクトリック・ギター、ピアノにオルガンとなかなか色とりどり。そして「珍しい曲多し」と世間でも注目を集めているセットリスト。パール・ジャムとのアルバム『ミラーボール』から強力なロック・チューンの『I’M THE OCEAN』や『SONG X』はファン垂涎。ソロ・スタイルという事もあり曲間に長くトークが挟まれていましたが、ニールのトークに呼応するファンの歓声が大きかったため当レーベルでは曲間をカットしました。その為臨場感と言う点ではややマイナスかもしれません。しかしこの素晴らしいセットを曲だけテンポよく楽しむには最適。更に7月3日のライヴから初日に演奏されていなかった『VAMPIRE BLUES』と『ROCKIN’ IN THE FREE WORLD』を追加収録。しかもディスク一枚に収まりリーズナブルかつディスク・チェンジの興醒めも回避。2023年記念すべきニールのツアー初日、必携コレクションです。
