A reprint of the precious 3-inch disc, not-for-sale CD single “MANHATTAN SOUND COASTER-II (BLUES)”, which was released only in Japan in collaboration with a whiskey import company during the “STRANGER IN THIS TOWN” release period. In 1989, New York enjoys two live songs at Lone Star Roadhouse with a perfect soundboard take at the same level as the official live version. At that time, it was a special CD that was given as a gift when you bought some whiskeys such as Early Times and Old Forester at a liquor store instead of a record shop, but now it is valuable. The copy on the back, “At the same time as I opened the revolving door, a strong rhythm hit my body. I re-tightened the sneakers and slowly opened the door. The city where bourbon becomes a star, NY.” , The contents are first-class products. “STRANGER IN THIS TOWN”, which recorded the same live in 1989, was mainly recorded in Sweden, and after that, performances in Germany and Philadelphia were said to be one song at a time. 「STRANGER IN THIS TOWN」リリース期にウイスキー輸入会社とのコラボレーションで国内で限定リリースされた、貴重な３インチ盤・非売品CDシングル「MANHATTAN SOUND COASTER-Ⅱ(BLUES)」を復刻。1989年ニューヨークはローンスター・ロードハウスでのライヴ２曲を公式ライヴ盤と同じレベルの完璧なサウンドボードテイク楽しめます。当時、レコード店ではなく、酒屋で、アーリータイムス、オールドフォレスターといったウィスキーを何本か購入すると特典としてプレゼントされていた企画CDですが、今となっては貴重。裏面の「回転ドアを開けると同時に、強いリズムが身体を叩いた。スニーカーのひもを締め直し、今度はゆっくりとドアを開けた。バーボンが星になる街、NY。」というコピーが凄いですが、内容は一級品。同じ89年ライヴを収録した「STRANGER IN THIS TOWN」はスウェーデンで録音されたものがメインで後はドイツ、フィラデルフィア公演が一曲ずつと言った内容であり、当然、本盤で聴けるテイクとは別です。プロモ・オンリーとはいえ、公式としてリリースされていたものですので、ミックスを始めその内容は完璧の一言。この機会に是非お楽しみ下さい。
